really? as i went to a honda dealership in paramus and they offered 10k

In the Tri-State area, it seems Honda offers 10K/yr.
Subtract 1% from the 12K/yr residual.

Doubtful that you'll get the lower money factor on 39 months... better stick with 36

It is a factory to dealer incentive - use the knowledge to negotiate your best price.

Any advice on how to get the dealership to actually give me the information I need to make an informed decision. I've been communicating with a couple of dealerships and I keep asking them what MF and residual they are using, and what fees they are adding, and it seems no one will provide this information. It's so maddening. I've gotten more information from this forum than from the actual dealerships. It's like they really don't want to sell me a car.

They do want to sell you a car, but they aren't fond of sharing the numbers behind their payments. They don't want the customer to have too much information.

That said, the residual value is fixed by the bank and the dealer cannot modify it. The MF is rarely marked up by Honda dealers. But, you can take the pricing you get and we can run the payments for you and advise you on how to go forward.

Better yet, a screen shot of the deal screen would really help us.

It's based off the total MSRP (base MSRP + options + destination) - bottom line number of the factory window sticker

It was a 36k/3yr deal, I did not have the selling price info or what was that $1000 down for, but the $389 monthly includes the tax and the sales promise the $389 monthly and $1000 down was everything needed with acquisition and all title and document fees.

If you can get the selling price or adjusted cap cost, that will allow us to fully evaluate your deal.

On the surface, the payment is good, relative to MSRP.
