I don't know if it's a bad deal. That's a big discount for a Land Rover.

I've read your posts re LR's MF markup very carefully and took them to heart. As such I tried to force base MF as I've done on every other car before that. So far one dealer accepted it (but offered a lot less worth of discount) and other listened but ultimately tried to have some markup.

Do you know how are dealers incentivized for MF markup? For example - if my total payments go up by $1,000 as a result of MF markup - how much does dealer get to keep? If the amount is significantly less than $1,000 - there perhaps some discount can be traded for better MF.

I don't know the specifics for LR, but in general the dealer gets to keep a percentage of the increase in rent charge the higher MF generates.

I dunno, I'd seriously be looking at another brand.

Below is a breakdown of my lease. I felt it was a great deal as I did not experience the amount of mark ups some folks experienced with LR and want to share with everyone that there are deals out there for us to grab. I will be honest as I tried with 5 different dealership and sales person before locking in this deal.

I'm in no hurry to turn in my current lease early, the guy at the dealership just keeps calling me with all his offers to get into a new lease now.

I don't know... since they aren't giving you a discount, they could be eating the payments. It's hard to say.

Not sure I'd be in a hurry to lease a 2018 model, if it doesn't come with a discount. What's the incentive?
