If you qualify for loyalty, that’s a terrible deal. Of the $10,428.67 discount, $6750 is coming from BMW, and roughly $3600 is from the dealer. That’s a lousy 7.6% discount. It should be AT LEAST double that for a loaner.

1) They can't waive the acquisition fee. I think the waiver bump to the money factor is +.00050. Normally, that would be a loser, but since it's only 24 months, you might save $10/mo. that way. (assuming I'm right about the .00050 waiver bump number)

2) 18% off MSRP isn't bad, considering the low miles, but the dealer fee takes some of that back. Also, $450 registration + $149 electronic filing? Looks like some padding to those numbers. I would be interested in the actual government fees. Normally, dealers won't mess with those numbers, but this is FL, after all.

3) Money factor bump speaks for itself. $29/mo increase to payment.

4) Cut the money factor bump in half, and add the money factor waiver bump, and you could knock $24/mo. off the payment (assuming I have the right number for the money factor waiver)

And I agree with you both, but they do not want to do anything to that bumped up MF. Will go on the weekend to look at the car, if all else works will see if can get them to split the bumped MF, seems there really is not much else to do (given specifically it is FL).

I wouldn't start the lease with $4000 out of pocket. That makes your effective payment over $500/mo.

And, you might be able to negotiate another $500-1000 off the MSRP, as it's a loaner.

However, their inventory and availability for what I want is pretty weak (2019 430i Gran Coupe). They have offered to procure a vehicle from another dealership. This is their statement/offer to me:

"We can run a locate on the car you're looking for and "dealer trade" for it."

I'm just wondering if a "dealer trade" like this might end up costing me some kind of hidden transfer cost--maybe $500 or so--to get the car moved from one dealership to my current dealership.

And I suppose my main question is this: Is there any value or incentive to continue my lease through my original BMW dealership or will any potential loyalty credits and wear & tear waivers be just as good at a BMW dealership 25 miles away on the other side of town? Loyalty is offered by BMW, so the dealer you shop at won't matter.

And, you leased the vehicle through BMWFS, so they'll be the ones to determine any end of lease wear and tear costs.

I suppose that any transfer cost would be dependent on how far away the trading dealer is.

Same town? Shouldn't cost you anything.

Three states over? Yeah, I can see the dealer passing along those costs, in whole or in part, to you.

Bottom line - shop other dealers. You think they wouldn't sell a car you're interested in for $500 more than you've offered, without blinking?

It can happen, but it isn't always easy. There are some behind the scenes financial issues that have to be dealt with.
