I'm off to a particularly irritating and scuzzy start in trying to work face-to-face with a sales guy at a local BMW dealership in the Los Angeles area. I'm in a 36/12 2016 428i Gran Coupe lease that ends in July, so I thought the timing would be perfect to take advantage of the May sales deals and incentives. I'm fairly well-armed with the MF and residuals, thanks to Michaell. Am I allowed to vent a little about my experience and share the various offers I'm receiving in this particular forum? Or should I direct it elsewhere?

    Here's what I want:
2019 or 2010 430i or 440i Gran Coupe - 36/10 - very little down - Dark color exterior (Mineral Grey preferred) AND real leather interior (flexible on colors) -- would love to have the M Sport package (+$3700)
So that is a pretty broad range for a dealership to use. Ultimately, a mineral grey 2019 430i Gran Coupe with black leather interior - 36/10 lease - 91604 zip would be what I'd like to walk away with ... and close to $500 incl. taxes as my monthly.

Finally went to my original dealership yesterday to meet with a guy who refuses to acknowledge he is a "sales guy" and instead only serves as an "Advisor" to customers. He makes me and my friend sit across from him for 45+ minutes to pull up inventory for the entire Western half of the United States--at which point he "advises" me there are only 2 cars in the entire inventory that meet my criteria. I don't want to call him a flat-out liar, but I can see there are upwards of 10-12 potential models that meet this criteria in LA alone.

Very frustrating. Why the "song and dance"? And why keep us waiting for 45+ minutes to pull this up on the computer?? I asked for a print-out for one of the cars, and I have pasted it below. Can you guys take a look and let me know if these figures make sense and if this is a good starting point? I have numbers from another dealership, which I'd like to share as well. I thought this might be helpful for other people interested in buying a 4-series Gran Coupe right now ... but again, if I should post elsewhere, please let me know. Thanks, in advance, for any advice and recommendations you can share.

Quick question: Do the "May incentives" really end today at COB? Or is there usually wiggle room to extend those savings a day or two further, such as June 1 or 2? I thought the "fine print" for these deals actually listed "June 2." Not sure how strict these promotions are.

The only redeeming factor on this is the $16K off sticker. Residuals suck, and there are no incentives on cars with over 5000 miles on them.

Not that bad of a deal, if you can live with the existing miles.

Vent away - perhaps someone will learn something from it.

You control the conversation - if you didn't want to wait, walk out.

And, you should be able to go to BMW's website and check out the inventory yourself.

I wouldn't start any lease with $4600 out of pocket. In CA, we recommend only the first payment and DMV costs be paid up front.

What is the discount from MSRP before incentives? What incentives do you qualify for? What is the MF they are using?

    Hello,

Have the June numbers come out yet?

If so, may I please have the MF, RV, Incentives, Loyalty for a 2019 440i RWD Gran Coupe?

    Terms: 36/10k and 24/10k
    Zip: 33016

    Thank you.

I ended up going with the deal I shared above, guys. It was done by a broker, and I didn't have to pay him a penny for his fees. Obviously got a kick-back from the dealership. This was done on the very last day of the May Loyalty Incentives program. MF was .00165, 57% residual. The standard rates for Los Angeles. Not sure what the final sales price was, but I will get that from my broker. But to me--at least--it seems like a damn good deal. Much more car than I was expecting. A fully loaded 2019 440i Gran Coupe M Sports Package with no miles. $499 per month plus tax, and $2K drive off.

Looks like the removed the lease credit completely in South Florida for 2019 440i. So now monthly payments are ~$160 more a month than they were in May ($5750 divided by 36) and the lease credit is still being offered in June for other parts of the country. Does anyone know how it works where if you drive/fly to another state that has the better lease credit and then register the car back in your home state? Can you still get the lease credit? Its definitely worth booking a flight for a $5750 discount.

We, too, have been having problems with the BMW data for Florida. Not sure why that is, but it's been that way for a couple of months.

Perhaps a call to BMW Corporate could shed some light on the issue?

Not sure about Miami, but the credit is there for Jacksonville area, and GA, so you don’t have to go that far. I do see where the credits are missing for Miami area on BMW’s website.

I am currently in the process of negotiating my first lease, still trying to have the dealer come down on the price. So far this car is the cheapest on the east coast that is M sport with 0 miles and the color combo that I want.

(Has a Heads Up Display, Wireless charging, M Sport, Driving Assistance, Adaptive M suspension, Active Blind Spot Detection, 19” wheels (704) - but not fully loaded)

Would love your opinion on this!

BMW 440i xDrive GC M sport
    MSRP 63,285
    Sales Price 57,585
    Lease Incentive 5,250

    Monthly Payment - 593$ (36/10)

I know people include these in the monthly but I wanted to pay taxes and fees at signing.
    Govt fee 515.06
    Dealer fee 300.00
    Acq fee 925.00

NYC taxes ~$2,500 (As of the 57,585 Sales Price - taxes are 2,523.10)

I want him to come down another 1,000 and figure out a way to match the lease rebate (its 5250 in his state and 5750 in NYC right now)

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance!

What lease term and how many miles per year?

Another $1500 off is still within reason, IMHO

    This is for 36/10k
I was able to get another 1,000 off the sales price
now the sales price is 56,585

560.15 monthly but I would like to have the lease rebate matched from MD 5,250 to east coast rebate of 5,750 and change the lease term to 36/12k

Incentive is the incentive. If you want the $500, you have to get it off the price.

Dealers get the incentives they get. That is not a point for negotiation.
Going to 36/12 drops the residual by 1%, which adds $633 to depreciation, and will add about $18/mo. to the payment.

Florida seems a little wonky on BMW numbers, right now, so check with a dealer on the lease credit.
