Hi! I'm currently looking to lease a 2019 BMW X4 xDrive30i; 36 months, 12k miles. MSRP is $55,885. What MF and residual values do you know of for the area 20910? This is my first time leasing and I really need the best deal. Is paying $500/ month with $2000 down just completely unheard of?

The math is not going to work for you. Did you know that in MD, you pay 6% sales tax on the full value of the vehicle? Even on a lease?

Tax rate here is 7%. The sales tax figure seems way too high for a lease in FL. Not sure what they included in the sales tax amount. Any suggestion on this deal?

Dealers like to give you a purchase quote, then magically come up with a lease payment, without giving you the details. The tax number they gave is for purchase only, as FL taxes the monthly payment. Also, no mention of the $925 lease acquisition fee. Or, what money factor they might be using.
That discount is a little pitiful, all by itself, but couple it with an $800 dealer fee, and it isn't a serious offer, at all.

Hi, I was quoted the following for a demo 2019 X4 M40i (36/12k) with 4600 miles in NJ:
MSRP: $71020 Discount: $6620 Sale Price: $64400 Doc Prep Fee: $439 License/Title: $304.50 Tire/Battery/VTR Fee: 6 Acq Fee: $925 Tax on Collected Items: $2284.32 Total Cap: $68358.82 Down/Cash Cap Reduction: -$102.20 Rebate Savings: $4250 Net Cap: $64006.62
MF: 0.00165 Residual: $40481.40 (57%)

The money factor and the residual are off based on the posts I've seen before. But I am getting a larger discount than some others on here. However, I don't know if I feel the discount is in line with the miles on the car.
Thoughts? Does the monthly payment check out? It seems high to me.

For a demo, you should be targeting 15% off MSRP, before applying any incentives.
So yeah, you've got some work to do on the pricing.
And, the MF for July is .00145, so that is also a negotiation point - in fact, don't worry about price until you get them to commit to the base MF.

I was going to counter asking for an additional $5K off for milage as well as the MF. Are MSDs still a thing? It's been 4 years since my last BMW lease and I've seen conflicting messaging on the forums regarding it.

I am looking at a 36/10 lease on a 2019 X4 M40i in zip 92253. MSRP = $68,770 Where should the sale price be before incentives? A percentage off the MSRP? What are the incentive and loyalty discounts? What is the MF and RV for my area? Should I put anything down? What should my monthly payment be(roughly)?
I am new at this so thank you for your any and all of your help.

-Tax Rate 7% in FL -36/10 lease -Only minimal upfronts due at signing AND $1500 max total out of pocket, I ask them to price it out both ways for me.
1: On a DEMO, what can I negotiate off the MSRP? I heard 10-13% off MSRP for a non-demo and on a DEMO, ask for 15% off MSRP, before any other incentives are applied.
I'm looking at DEMO X4M40i, MSRP: $67,000 Internet Sale Price: $59,999
2: What is July 2019 MF and RV?
Please help, Im getting exhausted dealing with these dealerships. I ask them upfront what the MF and RV is so they don't play games.
3: Does anyone know of the 6 tiers for BMW Finance, that is who they use for leasing. I know there is: -Super Elite -Elite -Standard -Standard Plus and so on. What are the score levels that fall into each tier??

I just got the quote and I see that they marked up the MF. Please let me know your thoughts. This is a DEMO M40i with approx 2k miles? They have to check it to see what it is now, since it is an active service loaner. I had them revise the quote from Elite to Standard Plus. "Standard Plus" Score, my score is between: 640-674
1: Is this a great deal? MSRP: $67,420 L.E.V %: 56.26% Lease End Value: $37,929.40 36/10 MF Rate: 0.00185 Customer Cash Down: $1500 Total Sales Tax $2031.63 Initial Cap Cost: $59,500 Total Add Cap Costs: $1,104.81 Cash Cap Reduction: $487.01 Rebate Amount: $2750.00 Adjusted Cap Cost $57,367.80 Base Monthly Rental: $716.26 Total Annual Fees: $20.00 Cap Tax: 7% $226.59 Amount Due at Start: $1500.00 Total Mo Payment: $766.40
2: They marked up the MF. Can I negotiate that?
3: I would need this shipped to me as well, from another state. They state shipping is approx $.85 per mile. Is that negotiable?
4: Now that I see the MF that they are using, is it worth it to buy it down with multiple SD's? I know you can buy down the MF rate by applying up to (7) MSDs X .00005 ea = .00035 MF total reduction. If so, how is the SD determined? Who determines that?
I truly appreciate all of your help. Im so glad that I found this forum, it has helped me tremendously.

1.That looks like a purchase quote - FL taxes the monthly payment on a lease, and I see no reference to the $925 acquisition fee 2. Tell them you won't sign any deal where the MF has been inflated 3. Probably, but I don't have any information on what a "good" shipping charge would be. How much would it cost you to travel to the out of state dealer and work with them directly? 4. Yes, we encourage the use of MSDs, if you have the money available. The size of each SD is the monthly payment, rounded up to the next highest $50.
Thanks On 1: The paperwork they sent me states "Lease Information Screen", so it's a lease? It says 36/10k and Lease Institution: BMWLSE
On 2: I told them that going from "Elite to Standard Plus" adds .00030 to the money factor, and they in fact marked it up. I told them that I already had my credit ran at another dealership on a 30i, M Sport Pkg and decided I wanted the m40i demo instead, in which they do not have. I also told them again, I fall into the "Standard Plus" tier. Their reply was "After we run your credit, we can offer you the .000175 instead of the .000185 we quoted you."
So how do I get them to agree on the MF with no markup? Are they going to try to pull a credit issue game with me?
On 3: I was doing the math on the MSD's. Am I calculating this right? The payment is $766.40 a mo inc sales tax. If I do (7)MSD's, that is $800 X's 7= $5600. Assuming, they revise the MF for "Standard Plus", so it's NOT inflated, that would be .00175, minus .00035 (7 MSD's), that would bring my MF to .00140. That now brings my mo payment to $719 mo vs $755 mo. So I'm only saving $36 a month, but Im shelling out $5600 upfront + the $1500 total DAS. It doesn't look like I should apply any MSD's.I might as well just keep the $5600 in my own bank account. Thoughts?

This is a DEMO M40i with approx 2k miles? They have to check it to see what it is now, since it is an active service loaner. I had them revise the quote from Elite to Standard Plus.
"Standard Plus" Score, my score is between: 640-674
1: Is this a great deal?
MSRP: $67,420

Initial Cap Cost: $59,500
Total Add Cap Costs: $1,104.81

2: They marked up the MF. Can I negotiate that?
3: I would need this shipped to me as well, from another state. They state shipping is approx $.85 per mile. Is that negotiable?
4: Now that I see the MF that they are using, is it worth it to buy it down with multiple SD's? I know you can buy down the MF rate by applying up to (7) MSDs X .00005 ea = .00035 MF total reduction. If so, how is the SD determined? Who determines that?
I truly appreciate all of your help. Im so glad that I found this forum, it has helped me tremendously.
2. Tell them you won't sign any deal where the MF has been inflated

On 1: The paperwork they sent me states "Lease Information Screen", so it's a lease?
Thoughts?
