Hello. I have been waiting for the 2020 rdx to come out to save on a 2019. Now I’m starting to talk to dealers. Curious on what my target price should be for FWD Tech package, dealer has mentioned $750 for using Honda financing and 1000 Honda loyalty. And also suggested a lease. We tend to keep our Honda vehicles so I am debating if a lease would ever make sense for me. I’m driving a 17 year old accord now. I think I’d be most likely purchasing at the end of the lease. Thoughts? Advice?

Hello. Thanks for the reply. I’ve checked pricing. Doesn’t seem to be changing even with the new model year out. Wasn’t sure how quickly Edmunds data would reflect end of the model year, If it’s just the sales history average. Seems not so accurate.

How long has the 2020 been available? A few weeks?

It may take some time for the sales data in the TMV tool to reflect any extra discounting on the 2019's.

The discount is decent.
$2499 seems like a lot upfront. If you are in FL, I'll guess that includes some big dealer fees, eating away at that good discount.

Yes agree. I need to get the details but I know there is $799 dealer fee and they all have some variation close to that. Their first offer was $459/mo. so they have come down some. I will try and reduce the upfront cost.

You can control the out of pocket amount; just be aware that anything you roll into the cap cost will increase the payment.

But, it's only a $1500 discount, in addition to the dealer incentive. You should be looking for at least $1000 more off the selling price, and skip the service contract.

Hi there. Thinking about going to the dealership this weekend. Got quote $40, 452 for a 2019 RDX AWD with tech package and was told the APR would be 4.49% to finance it (kinda high, IMO). Could you let me know the MF, residual, incentives etc? Lease term would be either 36/12K and zip is 94538. Also, is this $3175 incentive I saw on previous posts nationwide (I only saw a $1000 loyalty incentive applies to me base on my conversation with the dealership)? Is it for lease only?
