I'm just trying to have the upper hand for when we sit and negotiate the cap selling price

The incentives are all Acura-to-dealer incentives, so they'll be included in any offer from the dealer.

For the base model, $2150 is lease specific
For all other models, $2875 is lease specific.

So, for a lease, that portion of the incentive would be deducted from TMV to get an average selling price for a lease.

I think you can do better based on my experience and recent posts, but both quotes are fairly aggressive and show no mark up from baseline numbers. Not sure if you can hold out to the end of the month as they may be willing to do more. I suggest outlining the offer you received to a few different dealers (internet dept usually the best to deal with in this situation). Doing a pricing request via TruCar or Edmunds works well too as they immediately know that you are shopping around and usually connects you with the right person at the dealership.

I would personally suggest the higher end model as there are a good amount of features in the tech package (like heated seats for cold NY weather, blind spot warning, etc) and would cost you under $2K over the life of the lease.

I appreciate the feedback! Personally for me its between the MDX Tech and RDX Tech, I love the infotainment/tech, pano roof in the RDX...But I love the extra space, same fuel economy for potentially less $ in the MDX...comes down to price for me in the end so I will definitely wait until the end of the month for the most aggressive deal!

I don’t get that price. Few things: I believe destination fee is included in the $52,295, you are missing the $595 acquisition fee, NJ tax is typically paid upfront, don’t understand what the $900 due at signing is for, and not sure what the $2k references in the cap cost as that is clearly not the cap cost. Solely based on the selling price and if you pay the taxes upfront, should be around $515 otherwise closer to $550.

That is state dependent.

I'm sure you can research your state department of revenue website to get that information.

If you are leasing, you may not be able to transfer plates, as you aren't the owner of the new vehicle.

Again, could vary, based on your state.

DMV on new cars in NY is only about $250, in any case.

The incentives are greater for leasing than purchase. So, if you intend on leasing, it's best to let the dealer know that, before asking for price quotes.

Selling price is high. You probably could get that down another 2 - 3K. Don't forget the flex cash of 1500
