Could I please have MF and RV on a 2019 MDX SH-AWD w/Tech. 12K and 15K for 36 months? Also, any incentives? Zip code: 91016 Thank you!

    Hey Michaell,
Is there a MDX buying thread anywhere? Should I post in the Lease forum?
Please advise, I need help with incentives (and prices paid) on a cash or finance purchase. I see that there are up to 3200 incentives on a Lease but what about a straight purchase?
In Southern Calfornia. 2019 MDX Base & Tech ..Also, are there deep discounts on 2018 MDX still on the lot.
    Thanks.

    Posting here is good.

    For pricing research, go here:
    https://www.edmunds.com/tmv.html

    2019
$550/$650 incentive on Base/Tech for purchase.

Dealers received $1000 inventory payoffs for 2018 MDXs. It's possible they received other incentives prior to that, but we wouldn't have that information. You can check pricing again, at the link provided above.

Got a quote. Is this a great deal? The sale price looks not so good. But dealer will eat the drive off fees as around $1200. At CA bay area. Any suggestion is appreciated!

    What trim is this for?

I agree with the math on the worksheet.

If the dealer is 'eating' the fees, what does the $2200 of drive off costs consist of?

The acquisition fee is being added into the cap cost, and I see the DMV and doc fees, as well.

Thanks for your response. This is for 2019 MDX FWD base. For 'eating' fees, that $2200 includes $1000 flex cash (cap reduction), DMV fee, doc fee, tax on doc fee, and advance payment (first month payment?). The dealer said eating these $2200 fees, leading to $0 drive off. So adding the sale discount $5200, comes out $7400 discount. It is wired here, as initially I asked for sale price as $7200 discount. The salesperson refused, and provided this offer instead. I researched the shared good offer or deal online, did not see dealer 'eat' all drive off fees. Usually buyer paid the first month payment, DMV & doc fee, and had a much lower sale price in good deals. So anything I need to pay attention regarding to this offer? Appreciate for your advice!

The $1000 CAP reduction is likely "flex cash" from Acura, so the dealer isn't contributing to that.
That leaves $1224 upfront out of pocket. If they are truly waiving that, then I'd consider that a further discount. I'd check that very carefully, as the paperwork doesn't support that.

The dealer gets a $2700 incentive from Acura,

Also, $289 added for something? (A.M.O.)

    $5200 discount + $1224 waived - $289 - $2700 = $3435 discount from MSRP. That's a decent discount on a $45K MSRP.

I'd want to see the paper work re-done with the $1224 gone.

Thanks a lot for the advice. $289 is AMO, is it normal fee for leasing a car? I will ask dealer to redo the paperwork. Do you think how much more negotiate space exists?

A.M.O should be After Market Options

As I said. I got my MDX / Tech AWD for 435.00 a month, but I am putting down 2600 in fees, taxes, first months payment etc. I also don't care how the dealer got to 435. I asked for 440 and he got me for 435 which is a price point I am happy with. I was not seeing people getting the AWD Tech for cheaper so I priced out accordingly.

You are asking for a Base FWD so I would suspect you should be in the same range or even cheaper than I but then again in CA that is the most popular option and the AWD is here so maybe they do not discount the same.

I also think you should check other dealers as well. When I was first looking at new leases a few months ago, I emailed several dealers for an MDX AWD Advance Hybrid. One dealer said 550 a month and the others were in the 650 range. I did spend time deciding what I really needed in a car and ended up with just the Tech.

It's important to note that you are pre-paying your taxes, whereas in CA the taxes are assessed with each monthly payment (7.5% to 9.5%, depending on location). The $435/mo payment with, say, 9% tax becomes a $474/mo payment.

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't even know if it in NY we have the option of rolling the taxes into the payment or not. Always just paid them upfront.

You can add the taxes and fees to the cap cost and make them part of the monthly payment.

But, the tax laws in NY are goofy - if you do that, you pay tax on the tax!

Better to pay them up front.

    MSRP $52,295
    Sale price $44,895
    Money factor .00110
    Residual .58%
    Fees andTAX cost $3,102

    Payment monthly $457

    First payment $457
    Doc $504.85
    SalesTAX 1232
    Bank FEE $595

Flex cash: $1000 ( I told the dealer that it should be $1500 but they said they don't typically max the flex cash rebate because they only have so much left)  I don't know if this is true.

Overall I still think its good deal. I may do it. Suggestions?

Does your quote already include the flex cash $1000, or is it additional $1000 off?

Got a quote. Is this a great deal? The sale price looks not so good. But dealer will eat the drive off fees as around $1200. At CA bay area. Any suggestion is appreciated!

Is the line item "tax on doc fee" real? First time I've seen it and it doesn't look right. Is it a tax on the line item "doc fee" for $80?

That is the base rate from the bank.

The only way to lower it is to use a "one pay" lease, which lowers the MF to .00030, but you have to make all the payments up front.

It's actually tax on the CAP reduction, not the doc fee

My current mdx lease is up 1/4. I haven't made my December payment because I had heard about a payment forgiveness if I lease again. Then I was told by one dealer that only applied up until the payment due date but he would give me $400 after closing in a check. Another dealer said that was not true and that I could have the forgiveness. Who's right?

I believe Acura does offer a pull ahead program if you lease a new Acura.

I'd work with the second dealer.

    Received a quote on a 2019 Acura MDX w/ Tech in 33629 (36/10k):

    MSRP - $50,295
    Total Purchase - $44,494
    Dealer Fee - $799.95
    Taxable Fees - $761
    Tax - $109.27
    Non Tax Fees - $152
    Net Price - $46,316
    Residual - $29,171

    Monthly Payments: $1000 down = $586; $2000 down = $556; $3000 down = $527

Trying to see if I'm getting jammed anywhere.....initial quote looked a bit weak, but it was initial.

    Thanks all!
