    The Hybrids have no lease support from Chrysler Capital.

    The dealer may have another bank to use, but we wouldn't have those numbers.

    I went to dealer. They said residue was 44% for 39/10 lease. Is it correct?

    Pacifica Hybrid, Limited. Zip code is 92201. I was given this quote for a lease (attached in picture).

    It makes no sense to me. The money factor (.0035) seems crazy high; the numbers don't add up to the net capitalized cost. What am I missing?! Thanks!

    Edited to add: This was for 10k miles, 36 months.

    The Hybrid leases terribly, in any case, but they are abusing you.

    You'd be better off focusing on a different mini-van, even if that means giving up the hybrid.

    Thanks! The validation helps : ) I'm sure this is a total noob question, but: should I be negotiating the MSRP first, and then having them deduct the rebates (federal tax credit and whatever else) from that lower MSRP?

    Yes, you should be negotiating a discount, in addition to the rebates.

    You don't get a tax credit on a lease. The bank gets the tax credit (which is why you get the big rebate)

    Just thought of one other thing: do dealerships mark up the residual value? Looking back at the thread, I see a residual of 44% for the Hybrid Limited (36/15k). I got 47% for 36/10k. Does that sound right given the mileage differential?

    All things considered, that isn't that bad of a quote. Likely an Ally or US Bank lease, however, and we don't have their numbers.

    That doesn't match the residual I show, but then I don't have incentive info on the Hybrid, either.

    Seems like a pretty reasonable deal for the Hybrid, compared to the quotes most people get.

    I don't know the actual answers to those questions because I didn't ask them : (

    Knowing absolutely nothing about the internal working of dealerships, my guess is that when I agreed to the 637, they worked backwards to maximize their profits.

    That said, if I'm doing my math right, I'll be saving over 6k over the life of the lease/loans if I decide to purchase the car at the end of the lease (which we most likely will) versus if I had financed the vehicle by putting the same amount of money down (1,300).
