Thanks to this forum I was able (once again) to negotiate a fairly good deal. Was coming out of a 2017 MDX Tech AWD 10/36 paying 499 a month. Saleswoman called for pull ahead program as I had 3 payments left. I was over 4,400 miles as well. This is my deal In CT:

2020 MDX Hybrid/Tech/AWD. Bumped up to 12/36

Cap Cost. $40394.37 (used 2k loyalty and 8250 dealer incentives and invoice pricing-

That's 7500 miles/36 months. Thoughts? Thanks! Other thought to extend lease by 6 months and wait for 2021 models. But i doubted it will have good rates first month.

P.S. If you think dealer is making your last x payment(s), they're NOT! you're paying for it and they roll it in your payment. There's no magic unless they want to sell it on the lot if your residual is a lot less than what they can get for it. Trust no dealer (or lawyer)

@kyfdx - MDX and hondas in general were never "sexy". I think we all keep coming back to it since nothing else will be as loaded with these payments. I've had a share of Benz and Audi's, loved every second of it. But the damn maintenance or lease payments make you donate your kidneys. Now with Covid, to pay a lot and not drive a car, that's a pure insanity

Update to our quest...
We ended up traveling to Maryland because the fees are lower than Virginia. We traded our 2017 MDX Advance AWD for a 2020 MDX Advance AWD. They covered our final 2 payments of $599 and rolled 9K miles into our 36/10K lease. Using the .00058 MF, our drive-off cost was $1529 and payments of $529. Not bad for a nearly $60K vehicle. A great experience at Chevy Chase Acura in Bethesda, MD. In and out in a little over an hour...thanks to all the moderators at Edmunds lease forums for invaluable information!

Thinking to buy (small finance amount to make it cheaper) '20 AWD w/tech, I want to get the absolute lowest price from NJ dealer. I live in NY, I know NJ dealer fees are higher than NY, as well as plate transfer fee, but at least they're more honest than NY dealers. Want to call the dealer, throw all numbers in front of him and get a clear picture how much he's making as well. A friend of my bought base AWD '20 model in February, with no loyalty for 38200 out of Long Island dealer, so it's possible. Much appreciated.
