Thanks to all the moderators and contributors on this forum. I was offered a lease offer of $499/month with $1000 down for 36 months and 36,000 miles. This is in Maryland where tax is collected on the full price of the vehicle and not on the leased amount. This in my view was a very good deal. However, I was also tempted by the $10K off for purchase, so I ended up purchasing a 2020 MDX (with Tech) for 42K (and some change) plus freight. This price included a $2,000 loyalty incentive.

Had a request for numbers from our lease deal...got the $2000 loyalty from our trade plus 9K momentum miles rolled into the 36/10K lease. .00058 MF. $1529 drive off, $529 a month, plus they covered final 2 payments of $599 on our 2017 MDX Advance AWD with the pull ahead program. A pretty good deal on our 2020 MDX Advance AWD I think.

Total of all payments is $20,674. Is this a good deal? They told me Money Factor on the lease is 0.00058 which matches with what you have provided.

Seems like an average deal for this model.

Selling price is approx $44,500 to get that payment.
Given the $4450 dealer incentive, the effective discount is $2575, or about 4.9%.

Seems like you could do better.

I was not getting a better deal in my area for that specific car model (2020 Acura MDX SH-AWD with Tech Package).

So the final deal was

MSRP - $52,525
Selling Price - $44,234 (Discount of $8,291 over MSRP)
Total Down payment made - $3016 (this includes 1st month lease of $497)
Money Factor on Lease - 0.00058
Monthly Lease Payment for next 35 months - $497
Mileage - 10K miles per year. Lease is for 36 months
Disposition Fee - $350 (they said they will waive this if i either purchase the car or take a new lease when this ends). This disposition fee is one time payment at the end of the lease.

The above incentives aside, do you have any idea what type of discount I could negotiate of of MSRP? I am seeing some pretty aggressive claims of getting this car for not much above $40k.

Im in a 2018 mdx tech that i put 3k down 12k yr/36.

Dealer is quoting me on 2020 MDX tech 509/month 3k down, 7500 miles per year/36 months plus 11k rollover from my current lease. Doesnt seem like a good deal right?
Dealer also gave me:

Res 28363.50 54 percent. Mf 00225.

Im admittedly not super versed in lease lingo so hoping someone can help. Seeing other posts on here with better deals so hoping someone can help me respond to the dealer. Leasehckr saying this is only a 6.6% discount and that other deals are around 10%. Am i off base if i ask the dealer for 10%?

I'd push for a bigger discount, and have multiple dealers compete to earn your business.

The $3K is just a capitalized cost reduction. It's not specific to any one line item. Your monthly rate changes +/- about $30 per $1,000 in down payment. Hope that helps!

By your math, you're looking for another $5K off the price to hit your targets.
