I've been watching since October, finally pulled the trigger for one of our two cars Monday night. I had everything figured out when I walked in, and the dealer threw a curve ball by telling us we are eligible for a ton of (15k) carry-over miles - so we opted for doing that and getting a few percentages points better RV (51% insteada of 49%).

So I had to do a little additional work. In the end, their math was very close to mine - didn't work out exactly and I finally decided it was close enough when the stopped lowering it:

* they had previously settled on $47,560, and this was their "last"... I think this is where my math was off b/c the taxes portion of my total due at signing was fuzzy - but I finally had enough

All-in-all we came prepared to pay $3k at signing, so this is fine, and our monthly is lower than I expected, and we have more miles.

I thought the sales person was great (very patient with me while I attempted to do the math). The way he managed himself, my nervouse wife was comfortable sitting inside a building for a few hours... that alone is worth a little more. Also, I would never have known about the mileage carry-over. I have spent a lot of hours reading this thread, and I am very happy with what we are paying, compared to what I expected back in October. Thank you guys. Now I'm looking at a non-acura for me (the RDX numbers were not and are not going to be in the ballpark of what I'd like, and the salesperson admitted it).

oops... I mis-read my notes. It was 2% better residual off of 51%.

Could I roll over my extra miles from this lease into deal going from RDX to MDX or is that only RDX to RDX? Only my 2nd lease so unfamiliar with all this and wife is unsure if she would like more space in MDX or newer body style and tech in RDX, I just want better deal and value overall. 55% residual for 7.5K, yes.

And, Acura does allow unused miles from a previous lease to be rolled over to the new lease.
