    Hi there, here is my calculation based on your numbers, and the quote I got from the dealer in MN for 39 month, 10,000 miles. My numbers dont quite match up! We did use the same residual and I assume MF is high, but what else did I miss? I thought in MN we pay tax on the monthly charge, not an upfront charge?

    I think MN bases sales tax on the payments, but collects it all upfront.
    It is likely that the "Total Due" is based on a purchase, and the tax number given is not reflective of the actual tax levied on the lease. You'll notice that they didn't mention the acquisition fee, either.

    As far as your calculation:
    You have to account for the acquisition fee, doc and DMV, and first payment out of the $3000. That isn't going to leave much for CAP reduction.

    If you want to see where your money is going, you need to see a screenshot of the computer, with input from this deal.

    Also, less than 2% discount.. shew.

    Long time listener, first time caller -

    Been negotiating with LR here in NorCal for a bit -

    2020 P340 Velar - R Dynamic
    36/12
    MSRP - $75,500.00
    Selling Price - $73.500
    MF - .00057
    Residual is 57%
    5K Down
    94132 ZIP

    Monthly - $848
    W/ Taxes - $921.00

    Told them it was no good and too high, especially the 5K down and 2K discount.

    Came back with $899.00/month with tax, etc.

    Should I continue to push for the reduction in MF if they can do it? or should I be asking for a larger discount? (which I know is scarce)

    Really not liking the 5K down and wanted to get some advice here.

    I wouldn't start any lease with $5K out of pocket, nor with a marked up MF.

    Your best bet? Shop a different brand.
