Good afternoon. Just looking for some numbers and advice.

I'm looking to lease a 2020 VELAR R-DYNAMIC S.

Yesterday I was at a dealer and wanted to negotiate (I was ready to buy). When I asked about the MSRP he would not budge on sticker price, looked at me like I had 2 heads. I was after the 70 months 0% finance offer also.

Am I crazy or did I just get a [non-permissible content removed]?

In any case am negotiating I'm now negotiating with some other dealers for a LEASE on practically same car, same price.

My last Evoque I got $3000 off the MSRP (car was 52k, got for 49k on 36/12 lease)

This Velar I'm looking at is 66k MSRP. Am I crazy for expecting at minimum 4k off that?

Also can I please get the MF and Residual for 32827 and any other info that could help me get the best deal.

Even have a flight booked to CA from FL in a week if I can't strike a deal in FL, because the CA sales guy is being so helpful and giving me a deal. (But would rather buy it here in FL.)

If you get the base MF of .00015, then the payment drops to $653/mo (assuming 9.5% sales tax)

I'll admit, that's one of the better discounts we've seen on any Land Rover model

Florida is about the last state where I would try that approach.

Say you get a dealer to agree to your terms, but then you learn the MF was marked up, and your payment could have been $30/mo less.

That's why you want to understand all the moving parts within a lease.

LR dealers are famous for not offering big discounts and marking up the money factor - a lot.

Florida dealers are notorious for adding egregious fees on top of that.

All of which conspire against you for getting a decent deal, and payment.
