Luxury tax is on vehicles above a certain MSRP. I think it's calculated on the sum of lease payments, just like the rest of the sales tax, but not certain. But, the NJ dealer will know how it works.

Pricing out a 2020 X3 zip code 02451. MSRP $48,935 12K miles per year and 36 month lease with $2K down selling price @ $43,454.60 57% residue and I have 3 lease payments left on my current X3 lease which is being rolled over ($1,463) Monthly payment of $549.33. Is this a good deal?

Seems decent.

But, why eat those three payments to get a 2020 model? You can get that deal, anytime. Why not wait?

Dealer was mentioning September is the strongest with Incentives. Last year December incentives were not good. I am going to wait it out since I still have 90 days left.

I believe MF is .00128, however previous posts here seem to indicate there are no incentives other than loyalty. This seems to conflict with BMW's Website, which indicates the 2020 M40i has $1,500 lease credit, and $750 Loyalty/Conquest.
