    I pulled the trigger on the below lease, posting it for reference for other shoppers, hopefully someone will find this helpful. I purchased this vehicle in the Frisco, TX area.

    Below are some things I would like to point out before I go into the numbers. My numbers are final numbers taking all the below into consideration
    1. I was down by $2,100 on my trade, meaning I had to roll this $2,100 into my monthly lease payments
    2. In TX you have to pay taxes on the entire purchase price of the car unlike NY, where I am originally from. So, this means roughly speaking,one would pay about $1,000 more in taxes in TX on a lease than in NY on a similar lease.
    3. In Dallas, dealers push these dumb unsolicited dealer add-ons, which they price it to be around $1,500. These include window tints, pinstripes, door protectors, wheel locks, floor mats, splash guards etc… I have not run into any dealer in Dallas that does not do this. However, you can negotiate this down, i was able to negotiate this down.
    The below lease is for 2020 Honda Pilot EX-L FWD with MSRP: $39,080 in Frisco, TX

    Bottom line numbers are:

    $2,000 due at signing (includes first month's payments)
    35 X $400/month

    Breakdown

    MSRP: $39,080 + $1,500 dealer add-ons
    Cap Cost: $33,683
    Negative Trade in value: $2,105 (This is the amount I owed due negative equity)
    Taxes: $823 (accounts for the tax credit, which was part of the trade-in)
    Acq fee + documentation + all other fees: $978
    Gross cap cost (includes Taxes, fees, negative equity, etc..): $37,590
    Residual Value: $23,057.2
