We don't have an exact number, but most posts from WA show $850-$1000 for DMV on a new car.

Hello, I know the base MF for a 2021 X5 4.0i in my area is .00099, I have heard that BMW FS also sets a cap on how high dealers can go on MF. Is this true? and if so does anybody know what is that cap or highest they can charge? Thank You

The dealer can mark up the MF as much as .00040 over the base rate.

I don't know why he put NJ Sales tax since I live in NY, I think it's a typo, tax looks like NY Sales tax to me?

But based on above, he said if I pay only 1500 (which is roughly Bank Fee+Doc Fee+$75), my monthly payment would be $876 with everything else rolled in.

This doesn't seem right to me, am I missing something.
There should also be $500 lease cash, right? which is probably what $44.38 tax is for.

The amount of sales tax looks like it would be NY tax.

About $30/mo for every $1000 you roll in, so $115/mo. more seems about right, for only $1500 upfront.

I am just trying to find out where add'l $20 to $30/mo comes from?

Also my own calculator is giving me $846, very close because it seems like I am rolling $1100 into the lease (after tax is rolled in)

I'm adding the $1100 to the $66,558 number in your calculator (adj Cap Cost inc TAXES)

I agree with the math from both spreadsheets - $753.35/mo without taxes, $822.59/mo with taxes.

Thank you so much, the dealer just disclosed he was adding in "accessories" about $600 to $1000 to the price, which is why ultimately his selling price was higher, plus tax, plus interest when rolled in. I asked him what it was, he said, etching, mats, nitro fill, etc..
So basically if they were reasonable, say, all fees upfront (except taxes) I should be paying $822.59 with taxes.
NJ dealers vary insanely in doc fees, one charges $399, another wants $699. Which is fine, state doesn't regulate it. It seems like it is reasonable to expect to pay $300 DMV, $500-$600 Doc Fee, $925 Bank Fee before the monthly payment amount.

I will keep you and others posted, the member who asked about which dealer it was, please hold off because we just realized they are not giving 10% off effectively..

Negotiating a lease deal on a 2021 X5 M50i for a 36/10 in 75219. Trading in existing lease. Here’s where I’m at now - MF and Residual seem in line with what was posted earlier this month (.00099 and 55%). Next step here is to try to push for a higher MSRP discount (which might be tough on this model) and try to get the trade allowance up to payoff. Unfortunately tax on lease situation in TX is not the best but at least I'm getting a sales tax credit on the lease I'm turning in to offset the full tax on the price on this one. We'll likely pay tax, fees and first payment up front. Thoughts on what additional discount I could push for on MSRP (perhaps try to get closer to 7% mentioned earlier in this thread)?
