i called local dealer to verify and Sales mgr told me there is $1900 lease incentive on SH-AWD A-Spec and $500 conquest for current non acura owners/leasees. However the marketing ad on their site flashing says $1000 conquest.

On a $47,275 MSRP, Aspec SH-AWD 36month 10K miles, their GSM quoted me via phone $553/month $0 down and $0 due at signing, sign and drive, dealer making 1st payment. Everything rolled into the deal. Using full tax credits, 1.5% L&M fee (in lieu of taxes) on the net sales price of $42,275, 0.00215 MF, and 62% residual.

$2600 dealer discount, or 5.5% off (pre-incentives) didnt interest me one bit.

I told them to call me when they can do $420/month at above bolded deal structure, which basically means $10K off MSRP including incentives.

They are never going to call you...

LOL he called me half hour ago and came down to $519/month at that deal structure...i stayed firm at $420/month. He said at "$420 the deal loses an insane level of money thats unheard of and doesnt make any business sense. Why should i do this deal for you?"

My response: "Because its early in the month...take an absolute nasty deal and make it up on the other 90% clientele you have that will buy cars from you this month. Im looking for an insane type deal that noone can match or beat probably for the next 3-4 months. Call me if you are ready and ill fill out my credit app. LETS GO!"

Okay.. to be clear: They are never going to call you and offer you $420/mo.
I agree with the dealer's assessment.

What would be considered a stellar deal on this? They were at $519 last via phone. I havent gone in yet in person to negotiate.

I'm so sorry for all these questions, I have been slowly narrowing it down for vehicles. I am going to Acura on Friday! I think this is what I have finally settled on.

Going back and forth between two dealers. I have a 2018 TLX coming to term in a few months, figured I’d trade and see if I could taking advantage of the used car values. This was the first deal I was offered after some back and forth. The second dealer offered 465 month which includes the 6 percent tax. Their offer had less discount but 1 K more on trade, playing the column game but came in 10 bucks cheaper a month. Haven’t got their offer in doc form showing net and gross cap yet but guaranteed the 465. Zero out of pocket outside of net on trade. Thoughts?

I don't get anywhere near that payment - assuming 9% sales tax, I get $423/mo using the numbers on that worksheet.

Ask them what adjusted cap cost they are using, and the MF.

So I understand, based on their net they are hiding $1800 based on your estimate compared to the quoted monthly. Could they do that by maxing out the MF, making it appear I was making money on trade but inflating the MF. The residuals are right.

No reference to acquisition fee or doc fee on this quote.

Ask them for a screen shot of their lease worksheet off the computer, not the customer sanitized version.

Keep pushing; eventually, one of them (hopefully!) will give you all the numbers you need.

Some dealers still think it's 1994 and aren't transparent with the numbers.

This happened to me today. They came at me with 735 a month on an advance SH-AWD. I got them down to 517 a month. I did not accept nor would I want to do business with this dealer. They were shady beyond belief and STILL tried to hide the $1,900 rebate from Acura in the sales price after I asked for pre-incentive pricing. They didn't even want to give me that in general! very unprofessional. I was even there in person. I made a couple phone calls after and without even being there, I got a quote of 504 a month on the same car in 5 minutes instead of 1 hour. I am going to extend my lease to try and get a crazy deal at the end of the month on one. I want to be $1,900 OOP+my trade (about 1,000 equity soon to be a little more since my residual is going to change) and be around 430 a month. Almost there. Just need a little bit more discounting. haha

    There is no $1900 rebate.

It is an Acura to dealer incentive, that is indeed accounted for in the discount from MSRP.

So it is automatically built into the MSRP? When calculating it on the calculator is it considered in the rebate column, or is it directly affected towards the selling price and the other two rebates go in that area?

Finally got the breakdown from the second dealer. They are offering stupid money on my trade, don’t know how. “Giving” about $2000 more than expected at what my clean trade value is. My lease is up in a few months, so my logic was to get something as opposed to nothing at turn in. I am putting zero down out of my pocket, yeah I am on the equity but again my current is a lease so whatever they show as equity I’ll take it. I noticed that the money factor has been lowered, don’t quite now how this can be done since I thought the min was set by Honda/Acura.

So it is automatically built into the MSRP? When calculating it on the calculator is it considered in the rebate column, or is it directly affected towards the selling price and the other two rebates go in that area?
It's built into any price the dealer offers you. The MSRP is the factory window sticker price.

In a calculator, you don't account for the incentive separately.

I can't read the numbers on that picture. Can you attach it as an image, so I can magnify it?

Good know on MF. On previous request I got .00215. There must be more money in the cars with them willing to give that much on my trade. Good news for people not having to play the trade in game.

If you didn't have the trade, you think the price would have been $2000 lower?

I agree with the math on that quote.

Only way to improve on it is to get a better sales price.

Appreciate the help. The second generic which guaranteed they’d beat the first, but have yet to produce an accurate breakdown. Demanded one, we’ll see.

Okay, I see. What would you say a good discount on the vehicle is pre-incentive? I’m trying to get to be around 430 a month on it, but will possibly go to 445-450. When I left the one dealer we were at 517 a month. I called to another and was quoted 504. The 517 dealer used a selling price of

    Base MSRP: $49,825
    Selling Price: $44,753
    -$1,000 conquest
    -$500 college grad.
I was not able to confirm the MF used as they were being very difficult.
It was $2,000 total OOP for me and then 1,000 equity for my trade.
