A local dealer in PA has also tried this "0%" interest rate on the '07 Accord and Pilots. There was a disclaimer stating "may affect selling price." I asked about it and they would not pass on any of the dealer cash or holdback if you elect for the "0%" loan.
So, depending what model you're looking at, pay $17500 and take out a 6% loan OR pay $20000 and take out a 0% loan. You don't get both. I would believe this to be the case unless Honda (not specific dealers) start advertising otherwise.
Manuals might be slow sellers on the used car lot, but not in private sales. I snapped up my current car (98 Max) on the first day the ad ran, and someone snatched up my Pontiac Grand Am the first day I advertised it. The 06 Accords V-6 6MT's sell pretty fast around here, you have to be quick. I also think the new manuals on the lot would sell better if the dealer wouldn't order such terrible color combos. It will be interesting to see what happens to the used Maxima market with no manual available and only a CVT. (I hear the CVT isn't holding up well under enthusiast driving.
This message board helped me greatly in knowing what type of price I could get on an 07 Accord SE 4cyl Automatic (MSRP 22,220 and Invoice 20,196.) I sent E-mails to 5 dealers for their best price. In my request for quotes I made it clear that I was aware of the ~$2200 dealer cash. These were their first offers, and I went with the best one:
J.L. Freed: Never replied... Conicelli Honda: $19,096 ($1100 under inv.) Ray Price Honda: $18,399 ($1797 under inv.) Scott Honda: $18,396 ($1800 under inv.) Keenan Honda: $17,696 ($2500 under inv.)
All of the above prices included destination charge and none of them charged any strange fees - just $100-$150 for tags and licensing. For these prices, I had to take one off the lot by Friday, except for Ray Price who would find one since they had none in stock.
Bottom line: $17696 + 6% PA tax ($1061.76) + tags ($121) was $18878.76 OTD. I feel I got a great price and did not have to do any haggling - just send a few E-mails and answer a few phone calls. Got the last one they had in Graphite which was our top choice.
A note to other buyers in the Eastern PA area: After I made my decision, all of the dealers who replied were willing to match the $2500 under invoice with a Friday, 8/31, delivery deadline. Scott Honda even came down to $17500+TTL, but they're the furthest from my home. So, if your flexible with color (mostly white, silver, and black remaining), you should have no problem getting at LEAST $2500 under invoice on one of these.
I can't get any Honda dealership around me to budge. I got them to go 2.5k under Sticker and they wouldn't go any lower. I bring up the fact that I'm buying a one year old car and old generation with the new one coming out in two weeeks and I get "that shouldn't matter to most people" Like I probably could of gotten this price 6 months ago.

Most of the time when you buy a vehicle out of state, you pick up a temp transfer plate in the state where you buy it, which is nominal cost. You drive it to your home state, and then go to the DMV and license it at home. You pay the sales tax at that time, to your home state.
Some dealerships near state lines, will handle the other state license and tax as well.
Look it up on your DMV website, and ask/verify at the dealership.

Exactly! My brother's last car was an 01 Maxima and it took him a while to find one in the manual as everytime he'd call on one (going private party) they'd be sold - like the same day the ad was printed. He sold his in 2 days after buying his 06 Accord I4 MT Navi.
People who are enthusiasts and want a manual don't want to have to suffer with base trims or go to the other extreme and pay 40k for a luxury brand, I currently drive an 04 FX35 and it has that manu-matic mode which i thought would do it for me but it's not. This is my first automatic and i vow it to be my last!
Since my FX lease is up in Nov i hope I can get into an 08 I4 MT Navi Accord by then... and i hope they don't gouge me on the price because they know these car's don't exist!

Paid $23,500+TTL. Includes worthless baubles like pinstripes/trunk tray/wheel locks/splash guards. The car was just delivered and has 14 miles.

Well when I bought out of state, I did get a temp tag. However, the state I bought it in collected all of the sales tax. I went back to my home state to register and I had to show them that sales tax had already been paid. So they were sad they didn't get a dime.
For the past week I have been emailing back and forth with a Houston dealer, pricing on a 2007 Accord V6 AT. The list price is $23,945 and I received an email tonight offering to meet my price of $18,000 +ttl. Does this sound too good to be true?
Cadenhead who posted message 16825 on here put me in touch with a salesman who gave him an even lower price than many of the good deals posted here. We aren't allowed to post names, but the dealership is McDavid Honda south of Houston. The salesman is a really nice young guy. Very patient and has a thorough knowledge of the product. He even let me take a car out for most of the day to try it out and let my wife ride in it. I heartily recommend him.

Unfortunately I was correct in my memory that I did not like the ride of the 2003-2007 and so had to pass on the car. It handles beautifully, manuevering and stopping much much better than my Avalon. The problem is, the ride is pretty firm and I have to make a 6 hour drive between Houston and New Orleans every week or two. I really need a soft ride to combat the fatigue. Not trashing the Honda, it's just a design choice. If I was only going to use it around town, it would have been perfect. I don't know who was more disappointed, me or the salesman. To get a comparably equipped Camry, or to wait for the new Accords is gonna cost me the neighborhood of $6k.
BTW, it looked like they still had a pretty decent selection of EX-L's.

Suomy - Inventory on anything 4 cylinder is extremely thin. The 4 cylinders are moving at a good clip, and dealers are still getting them. 6-cyls are available in large quantities. Navi is not partcularly an appealing option for many, and it is $2K over the EXLV6.

USZSXA3, This is not really a good price. I got my Accord EXL 4cyl, 4dr for $21,482 total out the door at Henrdicks in Woodbridge, VA last week. They negotiated for an Out the Door price on the internet and they kept their word. They didn't try to add on accessories or pressure me.

I got this in McKinney - they tried to stick some dealer options (tinting etc.) but backed off in favor of a quick close. The rest of the process was quick and friendly. David McDavid experience was pretty bad - wouldn't quote price on the phone and used very aggresive tactics when I got there - walked out of both their stores.
If you are looking for in DFW area & dont mind a short drive, Check out Rusty Wallis Honda. They are a 30 mile drive from the place i live, but very decent. After a bunch of crappy experiences, i ended up buying an Odyssey at Rusty Wallis - it was like a breath of fresh air!

David McDavid in Irving is pretty bad, agreed. Wasted 3-4 hours, let me go, then promised my price over the phone, I went in again, they reneged saying that my price was close enough to negotiate. The "close enough" was $2,000 difference. The poor sales guy was left holding the bag by his manager.

Rusty Wallis won't give me a price over the phone. Kept asking me to come in. When I asked him if he would beat another offer, they said if it is in writing, has details of dealer accessories, etc. I asked him if he would give his offer in writing if I am there, he said "no", because people go and shop them around!!!!!
By the way this is Accord forum, and Odyssey experience might be totally different than the Accord buying experience.
True - but that would mean going in at 8:00 PM , after dinner and away from my family time. Secondly, you will not get anywhere in 1-2 hours if it is your first visit.
