New Chrysler 300C, I presume. Never liked them and could not legally afford the gold chains, rings and bangles that I would need to acquire before owning one.
Oddly, there is more than a passing similarity to the Bentley Continental, although the latter has a much better balanced glasshouse
Cheers

That, plus 31 MPG hwy from 292HP is nothing to sneeze about, either!

Wow, a Vega sedan (later called 'notchback coupe') in the background was destroyed too!
Is that a fiberglass body? Looks dirty and paint it peeling but I don't see rust.
Yup, like all Corvettes the C1s had 'glass bodywork.

Yup - that's a Jay Leno caliber restoration project. He has referred to himself as the president of the more money than brains club. He doesn't restore to make money - he does it to enjoy and save the car.
It's not like he can't afford it.

Speaking of Leno, I read a book about the (botched) transition from late night to prime time back to late night.
Turns out that he banks the NBC check (somewhere around $15-20M per year) and lives off the money he earns doing stand up shows around the country - not an inconsiderable sum, I should think.
It's no wonder he's got a warehouse in LA filled with classic cars!
What was the name of the book?

Yep - he said that a few years ago. It stems from his being a starving comedian in his early years and the fear of being fired. According to a booking website, he commands $100K + per appearance for corporate events. He does shows in Vegas regularly as well. 20 shows a year and he could live a very good life - how much could denim shirts cost??

~'66 Dodge van, blue AMC
Pacer. Shoot, that one looks familiar.Blue '72 Plymouth Fury close, reddish '71 Pontiac (obvious due to the fake trunk vents), '69 Buick.
Right lane: '71 Olds Cutlass, '68 Buick, '70 Buick.
Front of the '65 Impala is a '71 Camaro and a white '65 Malibu.
IdlewildJFK.Other cabs are too far to make out.

That could be a 72. The difference was the 71 had it's tail lights bisected into two horizontal bars. The 72 had 6 lenses on each side. I had a 72 "S" hardtop in that same color: Gulf Green Metallic with the black vinyl roof.
Somedays I miss the Green Monster.

My guess is an early '70's Opel Manta coupe.

That's correct. I've never been a big fan of the '59-'60 Chevies but there's something really neat about that Nomad wagon.

When your car looks exactly like one from the movie "Cars", it's time to reassess your life.
I actually had an XT -- noisy little thing but it ran well for the few months I owned it---I was rebuilding the turbo and clutch on my Saab Turbo---one of the endless repairs I had to do. Bought the XT for $1000 bucks, sold it 3-4 months later for $1500, which paid for some of the (endless) Saab repairs.
