Is that a good deal for a 2014 328i? do I still have more negotiating room? Is 5k off msrp on an older model fair or could it be more? Dealership is saying that is their best and final

    Option 1 - I am getting a pre-tax payment of $530.76 - with 6% tax, $562.61. Pretty close to the dealer quote

Option 2 - using the adjusted MF of .00081 after MSD, I get a pre-tax payment of $519.99 and $551.19 after tax. Again, pretty close.

On option 2, the $4200 up front is saving you almost $1500 in payments over the life of the lease, or almost 12% return.

Given that this is a $58K sticker, both deals are really good.

Hello Michaell - Thanks for all your good information. I wanted to ask you if there is a calculator anywhere where I can just input the lease values. You mentioned my deal was good but I wanted to play with some hypothetical values. I've google for calculators but my payment is not coming out the same.

    Thank you

I don't use an on-line lease calculator ... I built my own using Excel. Nothing more complicated than 4th grade math involved.

Just built one myself. On the below deal I am getting pre-tax of $391. Is it because I am not including dealer fees etc..?? If that is why, where and how much should I add?

    MSRP: 43,500
    Sell price:38,500
    3yrs/12k
    MF:0.0013
$864 Total out of pocket (includes first payment)
    $446 per month tax in.

For a 2015 model, all the deals are on 39 months, not 36...
    What residual are you using?

    Is this an actual quote?

Okay... then I get $417/mo.+ tax.. Not sure why you are getting $391/mo.

    If I add $725 acq.fee to the selling price, I get $438/mo.+tax

    Hello,

    Looking at 2014 320i xDrive.

MSRP is $40,220, sell is $34,719.

Would like to know MF, RV, and reduction in MF if I do 7 MSDs. 36/12K is what I'd be looking at. What other fees (acquisition, etc) might there be as well? Would like the out the door costs to be minimal (no down payment but MSD instead).

    Thanks!

.00130 is the base MF - with 7 MSD, MF drops to .00081.

$725 acquisition fee collected by BMWFS; there may be state registration fees due up front as well.

RV for 36/12 is 62%. $1000 holiday cash.

Is it ok to ask about 328xi wagon here?

I would like residuals and MF on 24m/10k,and 12k and 36m/10k and12k. Southern California purchase.

Any incentives to roll into this?

    Thank you for your time.

Cashing out the lease equity doesn't impact the numbers.

Adding 7% sales tax to the pre-tax payment gets $437.36. Still a lot less than $500/mo.

Something's missing - are you adding your fees to the selling price?

Ah, so they effectively added $2000 to the net cap cost, which adds about $55/mo to your lease payment ($59 when you factor in sales tax). Now the numbers tie out.

I don't think so ... only way to get a lower price is to negotiate more off sticker or use MSD to bring down the MF.

But, $430/mo for a car that stickers at almost $46K is a good deal.

Does all the numbers and calculated monthly payment look okay? (tax: 4.1%)

With your numbers, I'm getting a payment of $433.68/mo with tax, so I would agree that your quote of $430/mo is very good.

    Hello,

Could you please help me sort out this deal:

    2014 328i xDrive
    MSRP: $47,900
    List: $41,400
    Desired term: 12k/39mo.
    Eligible for Education Program ($1,000)

The dealer keeps talking about how much they want to move inventory. I'm (ideally) targeting a negotiated price of $39,750

Please help me calculate a payment. I am also considering 15k/39mo

    Thank you!

.00130 is the base MF, 36/15 residual is 60%. No 39 month program for the 2014 models. Add 2% for 12K.

With your MSRP and List Price (does that include both the $1000 education credit and the $2000 holiday cash?), I get a pre-tax payment of $448.85.

39 months, right? Looks great.. numbers match. So.. about $3500 due at signing, with the MSDs?

Yes, you are right on. 15k/39mo and $3500 due at signing.
Was wondering if the fees&tax are usually this high($2871). I live in VA (tax rate 4.1%).
Does the tax apply to the entire selling price? or just on the lease payment?

I'm not sure how VA handles tax, but it should certainly be broken out for you. It's not likely the dealer will do it wrong. You'll have $725 acquisition fee and title/license fees (about $500?), and probably a dealer/document fee of $400 (all profit).

    What does "interest free" mean?

And.. those numbers don't match up with any lease through BMWFS

I asked him what the MF is and he straight up told me their isn't one. I said that makes no sense, what is the apr and he said it's 0% no interest. lol

    If I could chime in,

Cali, those numbers you post seem literally too good to be true. Seriously, they are so good, either you are the one millionth customer or there is something missing.

65% RV and 0.0000 money factor seem beyond far fetched. An interest free loan to lease a BMW just doesn't pass the smell test.

As mod pointed out, 39 month term is what BMW is subsidizing the most this month and you've a 36 month. Another red flag there.

Is there a trade-in you aren't mentioning? Are you certain of the terms, the mileage cap, etc.? You have the numbers on the lease agreement?

Hey, stranger things have happened. The deal seems insanely good to a neophyte like myself. Maybe it's your lucky day, but I'd be very careful.
