Yep that's a 4CV. Citroen Traction Avant, background left. Lotta Peugeots in there.

Being Spain the Fiats are SEATs - the car with the sun on the windscreen is a SEAT 1400 - probably a 1400A.
And the car ahead of the Cadillac (which I think is wearing diplomatic plates) appears to be an Austin Taxi - at this time that would be an FX3 or an FH1.

Isn't that gray car coming toward the Caddy a '55 Oldsmobile?

Parked at the curb on the extreme right looks like a dark-colored '49-'51 Ford sedan. I'm having trouble w the leftmost dark sedan coming toward the camera--could it be a Borgward? Three cars behind it is a light-color Yank tank, probably a '55'56 Chevy.

I think I see the Olds, too. This is back when American cars still had a ton of prestige overseas.

Yep, ML got it worse than Yakima, I think. I don't know where the pic was taken - tons of 50s era residential developments there, hard to tell them apart.

SEAT did not begin production until 1953 and the photo was apparently taken ca. 1950, the year they broke ground for the SEAT plant near Barcelona https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SEAT

Isn't the Caddy a 55? Unless Doc Brown was doing early experiments in Spain, the pic must be from at least that year B)

    1967 Mercury Park Lane.

My grandmother had a '67 Monterey coupe with the 390 in it. Would love to find one, if I ever have the money.

The most cubes I owned were in my '73 Pontiac Catalina. Those 400 cubes and that front bumper could have cleared a young forest.

Honestly I'm not sure what year Caddy that is but I thought they didn't use those 3-section rear windows after '52 or '53. I'n not sure about hat Yank coming towards. It looks like a Chevy to me but I guess it could be an Olds.

Is there another US brand in front of the Cadillac by 3 cars? It's second toward the camera from the open area ahead--between the two bicycles. Chrysler?

I'm agreeing the Olds looks like a '55

I was thinking those vertical trim pieces above the rear bumper were 1955 only. Maybe an odd export trim line?

The Cadillac is a '55 with rear window venetian blinds for use when a big shot rides in the back. Magnette posted that the Cadillac appears to have diplomatic plates.

Hmm, that means Magnette was correct about the Spanish-made SEATS. There are several SEAT 1400s in the lanes coming toward the camera. I,m guessing at least some are taxis Here's a better look at SEAT's first production model>

Still with the Madrid picture, which I understood at the start was supposed to be 1956, that Citroen in the left, facing us, isn't a Traction Avant. They always have a lower radiator grille and the headlights are in line with the top of it.
This car has a more upright, taller radiator and the proportion of the windscreen is different too.
I think this is a Citroen 10 - the one they stopped making in 1934 - probably a 10L as those were commonly used in France as taxis and probably in Spain too. It wouldn't be as old as the car in front of it - (between it and the Seat with the sun on the windscreen) - and that was clearly in use at the time.
There is a Traction Avant parked to the left of the older Citroen though - it is a long wheelbase model and you can see the boot sticking out.
Spain was a poor country then after the problems of the Civil War even though that had ended sixteen years earlier.
Looking closely at the scene I can see two Austin taxis - apart from the one beyond the Cadillac there is another one - definitely an FX3 - coming down the hill -the most prominent feature is the chrome surround to the grille. The FX3 wasn't confined just to London, but ran in other British and colonial cities too, but its most successful foreign fleet sale was apparently in Madrid, in the early 50's.

I'll pick off the white Toyota Corona in the row nearest the building, second car from right. It also might be the newest car in the pic, no older than 1974.

well, Porsche 356. I am not really sure the differences visually between the B and the C.

edit: according to a website I just found because I was curious, those are the Super hubcaps, which would make that a 356B (unless, of course, it is not original).
