I'm looking for 36mo/15k - is 36mo the sweet spot for a lease deal with Audis? I've never leased, always purchased outright. Friends are saying I should lease because I'm not sure I want to keep this one forever as they are so new. I do love the car.
I've seen a few references to MF and Residual. The deal the salesperson put on the table from shows the Residual but not the MF - I'll ask them for it. I'm wondering if the great deal on the selling price is being countered but the MF.

The salesperson is recommending the Audi Premier purchase option rather than a strait lease, would hold the whole loan but guarantee buy back or walk away; saves on tax on the next purchase.

Either your MSRP or your residual is wrong, because that residual is not a whole percentage of the MSRP number.
Your $600 has to be going for something other than the first payment, because Audi is paying the first payment, this month. DMV fees, maybe?
Looks like the selling price is about $2000 off. That's an okay deal.

1) Base MF is .00061. If it's actually .00099, they are marking it up. "Rates going up" won't really affect money factors until months and months down the road. Not a concern for you.
2) Prestige trim residuals are 4% lower than Premium Plus. You could lease comparably priced Premium Plus for $50/mo.less than a Prestige (at the minimum).
3) Because of the tax situation in GA, I would either buy or do the Premier purchase option.
4) GAP is included on AFS lease contracts, but possibly not on Premier Purchase.
5) AudiCare maintenance plan is $849, but adds 1% to the residual. Would only add about $10/mo. to your lease.

I've not liked the way I keep learning of additional costs as we go along. For example, they offered a .15/mile if I do it before end of lease but then said that was only for a regular not Premier Purchase option. Also - they wanted an extra $20/month for the premier purchase option, but couldn't tell me if that was due to the money factor, or what.
Did say that there was no turn in fee with that Premier Purchase option.
I get the tax savings in the value for trade in with that Premier option but it seems like after the extra per month and having to bet on higher miles, and assuming I will trade in/up it becomes less attractive. I can buy it outright but the whole idea was that I wanted to try the new assisted cruise and the car itself for a few years before owing it forever (as I have with other cars) I find the tech amazing but think its going to change a lot over the next few years and resale might be affected.
Going into the dealership now to go to battle. Thanks for the weapons.

If the tax rate is 7.5%, I'm only a dime off on the calculated payment. If you're comfortable with the selling price, looks solid.

Not even close. The best 36/15 residual for any 2017 A4 is 57% for the SoA package on the 2.0T Quattro.

For SoA FWD Ultra, 36/15 residual is 54%.

The tax information is irrelevant - Florida taxes the monthly payment.

Have the dealer provide you with the adjusted cap cost used for a lease ... that will help.
