Just to make sure I understood you correctly. There's no change in the residual percentage or a 24 month lease whether it's 12k or 10k miles/per year. Is that correct?

Also, I noticed that the SXL residual percentages are 4% lower than the SX which seems like a big difference to me. Does Kia do anything weird with their lease payment calculations and the cost of option packages like not residualizing them? I remember many years ago both Toyota and Audi did this with some of their leases where the residual percentage would apply to the base price without options and then you'd have to pay for 100% of the cost of the options in the lease payment. In other words, they treated the financing of the option packages in the lease as if they were dealer installed items.

How did I do:

2017 Sorrento EX (Turbo) with Premium Package and Frost White Color (added cost for the color): $360/month for 39 months. $0 down - only paid first month before driving off. Taxes/fees/ etc all rolled into the monthly payment. 15,000 miles per year.

Don't have paperwork in front of me but MSRP was approx $36,500, got the $2500 lease cash plus Grad and Loyalty rebates. MF was .00109 and Residual was 57% (because of 15k program).

With your prices, I get $407/mo before tax.

Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is, as well as the MF and residual they are using to get their quoted payment.

The only variables in a lease calculation are the adjusted cap cost (selling price plus fees and taxes you are not paying out of pocket), and the MF.

The math is the math.

Confirm the adjusted cap cost with the dealer.

I get the same number. Why would you need lojack for $795? Drop that and save $20/mo.

She made a big deal about the LoJack being pre-installed. Is that something the dealer can remove? Also, I'm pushing for $340 including tax. I read online that including the acquisition fee in the driveoff reduces the monthly number but the discount right now is pretty solid right?

Nobody in a 50 mile radius is coming close...

I've heard that line about lojack about a dozen times. Tell them you won't pay for it, and see what happens.

Moving the acquisition fee into the CAP cost is going to raise the monthly payment a corresponding amount.

Got upgraded to an SX V6 AWD(began negotiations for an EX v6 awd with adv touring pack). w/o the advanced package(so no autonomous braking etc) but with merlot leather, wheel locks, remote start key fobs, carpets etc. getting to an MSRP of $41775. $334 x 39 months plus $2000 down payment. All taxes/fees/gap ins included. Adj cap cost $37200(rounding off - typing from memory). Residual~ $24200. NJ taxes. Your thoughts?

Edit - wasn't given a MF by the dealership but an online calculator threw up .0005.

.00091 and 57%, assuming 12K allowance. $2500 lease cash.

Using your prices, I get $399/mo. Taking the $2K off the adjusted cap cost takes the payment to $346/mo, so much closer to your quote.

Would like to get the payment closer to if not under $400

What lease term? How many miles per year?

What's the adjusted cap cost, if you are rolling in the taxes and fees into the lease?

$39/mo is about $1400 over a 36 month lease; that's what you'd have to reduce the cap cost by to hit your target payment.

39 months and 12,000 miles per year

Not sure about adjusted cap cost but everything getting rolled into the lease just first payment down.

2.0 Turbo: .00128 MF and 59% residual
3.3 V-6: .00131 MF and 59% residual

$2500 lease cash

Read back a few pages. Plenty of other member's examples of what they paid.

No 10K allowance on 24 month leases; 24/12 numbers are .00056 and 59%. $6000 lease cash.
