We don't track pricing, but I'm not surprised to hear that. Very limited availability and high demand will keep transaction prices up.

My dealer is giving a MF of 0.0033 with residual 58% for e63s (36/7500) but says that it will only be finalized on delivery as rates can change between now and then (December/January). I mentioned that I'd seen 0.0022 and he said that's even lower than the buy rate.

If we wait for delivery before finalizing this, doesn't that severely limit any negotiating power? If I order a car and wait ~3 months for delivery, and am then told MF is 0.0035, my choice is to take it or to order one through another dealer and wait another 3 months. Am I missing something?

Nope, that is the downside of ordering exactly what you want - you give up some of your negotiating leverage.

Have you reached out to multiple dealers? Getting them to compete against one another will be beneficial to you.

But wouldn't they all say that terms will be finalized on delivery? I can't order the same car build from multiple dealers.... Would a dealer potentially finalize favorable terms now at factory order?

No, but you can tell them you want to order a car and dealer A offered this outrageous MF - can you beat it to earn my business? Then, go back to the first dealer and tell them you got dealer B to offer you a lower MF - can they beat it, etc

Ultimately, one dealer will drop out and you then order the car from the dealer offering you the best deal.

Make sure you negotiate the selling price as well - doesn't help to get a good MF then screw up the discount from sticker.

Curious if any of you are getting any quotes yet on 2018 E400 cabs...wondering what people are getting offered from dealers % off wise from msrp? I would assume any remaining 2017's are getting mid to upper teens or even more for % off. With the new body style and tech, wonder if 10-12% off is realistic at this point.

We've had conflicting information from other members here as to whether MSDs are allowed on a supported (that is, not standard) MF. I don't have any specific guidance; check with your dealer.

Don't know the standard MF, but it's usually in that .00200-.00230 range, so that's not far off.
