    Hello. Looking into leasing a GLC 43 amg SUV all wheel drive. I live in northern virginia ( Tysons Corner/ Arlington)-zip code 20190 . What's a good MF and residual for this car in my area for a 36 month lease- with 10k miles per year? The dealer is quoting me a .00197 MF and 53% residual for 36 months

    Selling price is $44,500
    If I add the $795 acquisition fee, I get $552/mo.+tax.
    The money factor bump takes it up to $582/mo.+tax.

    I'd think you could either get the money factor bump dropped, or a corresponding reduction in sale price to make up for it ($1000 less).
    Got them down to $595/month with tax. I feel good about this deal.

    I m looking for GLC300 RWD 36/10k, earlier post showed the MF:0.00149 RV:59%, is this still valid, trying to see if I could get a good deal during the year end. And also found quite a few discussion mentioned the MSD or auto bill pay are not acceptable now, is anyone recently leased and apply these?

    We only have anecdotal evidence of MSD and autopay ending. Can't tell you for sure

    Thanks for the quick reply. There was a typo, I meant 2018 GLC *Coupe AWD.

    Michael is .00090 the new MF for this car? All prior pages the MF has been around 1.39-1.40. A MF of .00090 seems much better.

    Also can 2000 off MSRP be a realistic amount off? That is what TrueCar is saying but I haven't really started price shopping?.

    Can I please get RV, MF on GLC 300 RWD 36 months, 12K per year? I'm in Carlsbad, CA.
    Also the acquisition fee I was quoted was $1,095.

    Here's the breakdown on the first quote I got. Payments seem high for such a high down (which I will be opting to reduce the down payment for higher monthly payments).

    Acq Fee $1,095
    Subtotal $50,900
    $8,000 due at lease inception (too high...)
    $6,349.72 cap cost reduction
    $498.30 tax
    $469.75 Reg/Title
    $602.23 first payment
    $80 doc fee

    On a vehicle this price what should my minimum required down be, then what would the payment be if they didn't mark up the MF or fees?

    Yes... you'll pay slightly less in finance charges.
    But, I recommend putting extra money upfront. First, it obscures the true monthly cost of renting the vehicle. Also, if the lease were to end early, due to accident/theft, then that downpayment money may not be recovered. GAP insurance only covers the lease payoff, not any amount that you put upfront.

    Also, what is the expected acquisition fee and doc fees for this model? Are these numbers controlled by the dealer or fixed?

    Ask the dealer for their best offer, including all details (MSRP, selling price, incentives, adjusted CAP cost, etc, etc). Your expectations are none of their business, until you make an offer.


    One technical question:

    Assume you have the cash in hand, is that recommended to put Down Payment?
    - Saw different forums recommended 0 down pay, but isn’t putting down pay will save you more after 36months since you pay less on the interest?

    But, I recommend putting extra money upfront. First, it obscures the true monthly cost of renting the vehicle. Also, if the lease were to end early, due to accident/theft, then that downpayment money may not be recovered. GAP insurance only covers the lease payoff, not any amount that you put upfront.

    Recommend against extra money upfront.

    Hello,
    Could I please get the RV and MF for a 2018 GLC Coupe 300 AWD in SoCal
    24 and 36 months 10k and 12k miles. Also what is the destination/acquisition fee?
    What are the things that are due at signing and can't be rolled into the monthly payment?

    .00090 MF and 61%/54% residual for 24/36 months, 12K/yr
    Add 1% for 10K/yr

    Don't confuse destination and acquisition.
    Destination is part of the MSRP
    The lease acquisition fee is $795 (dealers can mark up the fee to $1095)

    Technically, everything can be rolled into the payment, even the first payment (zero due at signing)

    But, you want to pay non-taxable items upfront, as they become taxed if you roll them in.

    So, at signing:
    1st payment
    DMV Fees
    $80 doc fee

    That's it.. roll everything else in.

    The calculations are all correct.
    Pretty nice quote with all of the relevant information. They aren't hiding anything.
    As noted, acquisition fee is marked up by $300 and the money factor is marked up by .00010.
    Those two items add about $20/mo. to the payment.

    Other than the markups, the only way to lower the payment is to negotiate a lower selling price.
    Residuals aren't real strong for this vehicle, but you can't fix that.

    That's what I thought. Do you think there's a real chance to negotiate an even lower selling price with the current selling price $55,365 and invoice $55,091...only a couple hundred dollars apart...
    In general since the residual is so bad I'm debating if this is a good deal?

    Sorry.. no idea what price you can negotiate.

    With the lease program, it's certainly not a good deal as compared to the SUV, which has a 4% higher residual.

    Hi, Can I get the residual and money factor on a 2018 GLC 4 door RWD in Florida, 33449?
    3 years/15k miles a year. Dealer is quoting me 56% residual and .00151 MF prior to putting down 10 MSDs. After 10 MSDs, MF drops to .00081. I want to make sure these numbers are accurate. Thanks in advance!
