I would like to share another offer. The sales told me that the MF is 0.00125 for 36/12k and 10% discount. However, looking at the quote, I saw that there are a lot of additional fees (official fee and phantom footprint). What would be that? Is their calculation correct?

I believe sales tax is 6.25%.

You can decide to pay the taxes up front or add them into the lease payment; we recommend the latter.

Nice discount and base MF are both good things

I would challenge the "shipping" line item - if that is the destination fee, it is already part of the MSRP and it's disingenuous to break it out.

I would ask for a breakdown of the "official fees", as well.

For a 36/12 lease, those prices give me a payment of $1052/mo, with $0 down. That's a $4500 gap to the payment they've quoted.

Yes to MSD

No to any sort of wear and tear or tire/wheel protection; just a profit center for the dealer.

I just used a car broker and he was able to get me a decent deal on a custom ordered 2018 GLE 350. MSRP 61,060.00 with a 11.5% Discount from MSRP. 10k miles, 36 month lease with 3k down. Monthly payment 650 including taxes and fees. Residual value $34,173.00

What would be the acquisition fee for MB in California? As I've been reading a lot, I believe it is $795. However, one dealer told me that in California the acquisition fee is $1095 and $795 is the national average. Can you verify this?

From my experience, don't use broker car broker. You can get a super great deal by emailing all dealers in your local area, i believe LA has tons of MB Dealer. They will fight each other to give you a huge discount (up to 13-15%). I think there's two rules to get a good lease:
1. The bigger discount the better + base MF
2. Never put down payment. Just pay drive off fee (first month payment + DMV + licences + etc fees)

The base acquisition fee is $795. Anything more is a markup from the dealer to put more money in their pocket.

Yes.. that's it.. .00050

Of course, at .00050, you couldn't take a .00070 reduction. You'd have to put up fewer MSDs.

Ordered a 2018 GLE 43 AMG SUV. Truck will be in next week. Dealer came back with a MF of .00095 with a max of 10 MSDs. I added back the .0007 msd and came up with .00165. Is the .00165 is the base MF for the GLE43 AMG SUV? Also, my monthly payment is $870, dealer asking for $9500.00 security deposit. I thought payment was rounded up to $900 x 10 msd = $9000 security deposit. Please confirm. Thank you.

I confirm .00165 as the base MF for the 2018 GLE43 for December.

Could be the pre-MSD payment is used to determine the size of the MSD.

i was able to negotiate a good deal I think but have several questions, the msrp on a 2018 GLE 350 4matic 66,570, cap 56,585, 36/12, 55% residual, Payment 706.28, lease aq is 1095 not rolled in at this point and he won’t address the mark up... that is why I figured dealer marked up money factor.. can you help me calculate?

Also I have a friend who works at Mercedes-Benz and gave me a control #, can I use this discount on top of what I already negotiated? The form says 12.25 percent off MSRP but I’m not sure if that allows for further negotiation?

No 39 month residuals from MB; 36 month residuals are listed below.

2018 - standard MF (around .00200-.00220) and 53% / 52% (SUV) or 54% / 53% (Coupe)

I believe that if you get an employee discount, that is a fixed discount from sticker and cannot be negotiated further.

Wow, appears money factors and residuals are not what they used to be. I remember when you could lease most of their 120k vehicles for something like 1300/Mo, now it’s around or above 2k. I could lease a new Aston’s DB11 for about the same as I’d pay for a new GLE63.
