.00156 MF and 59% residual, less $900 for mileage $1500 lease credit.
If I add tax and $925 acquisition fee, I get $432/mo. That's assuming your $1000 covers first payment and DMV/doc fees
That's pretty close.
Considering the high taxes in Texas, this is a pretty decent deal.
Question about the acquisition fee. When you lease, do you pay the full $925 even though you're only using the car for 3 years of its life?
One dealer said they charging me the full amount in the beginning (as part of the drive off). And another dealer said that I would only pay the residual percentage of $925. I'm not sure if they're confusing that with destination charge.
So the residual was 59%--I own the car for 41% of it's life. Therefore, would I pay (925 x .41) = $379? Or do I have to pay the full amount $925?
Lastly, do you recommend rolling this acquisition fee into the monthly payment? Or paying it upfront?

You pay 100% of the acquisition fee; it's imposed by the bank.
We recommend you roll it into the monthly payment.

My guess is that the incentives are already baked into your selling price.
Generally, we suggest you target 7% off MSRP, before incentives. You've already exceeded that.

I forgot to mention that this is a demo vehicle with about 4,700 miles on it. This information I just got from online and haven't contacted the dealer directly yet. Still waiting for their reply by email

Ah, well that changes everything.
For a demo vehicle, you want to target 12-15% off MSRP.
But, you'll have to adjust the residual down .25/mile, or $1175.

I am not new to leasing, but am new to attempting to negotiate my next lease... my current lease a good friend of mine handled the numbers (he's no longer around and my lease matures in 90 days). I am currently in a 428ix grand coupe, about 2000 miles over my mileage. I am looking to get into a 2018 X1. I want to attempt to handle the negotiations via email... could anyone that has done this before give me a template for an email they would send? I already test drove the car, would like to buy by the end of this month, and my options are flexible. ANY advice will certainly be helpful.
so far one dealer is willing to do 11% off MSRP before rebates and incentives, I haven't asked for specific quote yet, will update here when they come...

The cap cost would have to be around $39,700 to get that payment.
MSRP: 42,545 Selling price (38,455) minus incentive (3000) = 35,455
DEALER SAID:
'Monthly payments will drop to $485 a month with total due at sign $2124.45
First month - $485 Reg - $310.50 Documentary fee - $403.95 Bankers fee or acquisition - $925
And I’m paying the 2 last payments for you
If you pay taxes upfront and I take care of doc fee. Total due would be $3001.77 and payments are $455.
Or you come up with $1800 total and payments are $490'
SHOULD I PAY TAXES UP FRONT? Do I have a good deal?
again 12k/36 months. I am in NJ
She will do away with doc fee if we pay tax up front. Tax is $1,318.17.
Thank you so much!
We recommend adding the taxes into the monthly payment. If the car is stolen or totaled during the lease, you won't get a refund of the pre-paid taxes that you didn't use.
The only up front costs you should pay are the first payment and registration costs. You'll have a higher payment, but you won't be risking the money in case something awful happens to the car.
