If I subtract $1231 from the total (what's left over, after deducting the first payment from $1500), the calculated payment is $285/mo.

$269/mo looks good by comparison.

We don't track pricing, so can't tell you if that's a good discount.

you can lease a Limited model (28.6k msrp) for less than that sport. Same engine.

For Zip 02062, I noticed that there is now a $500 "Bonus Cash (Aged Inventory Sell Down)" incentive. I assume that is for vehicles that have been languishing on the lot for days (e.g., 100+??). Can that be used for leasing, or is it only for retail "purchases"?

This new incentive has only recently been brought to our attention.

Don't know what qualifies as "aged inventory", nor do we know if it can be used on a lease transaction. Your dealer should be able to answer these questions.

Another question, what's generally considered a good discount from MSRP?
I'm working with a dealer and am at 8% below the 33460 MSRP.

Pretty sure that the lease cash is a Hyundai to dealer incentive.
If that's all they are cutting the price, you should probably keep shopping.

Considering how poor Sonata sales are, those dealers should be begging you to come in. here is a reasonable amount to expect off msrp BEFORE incentives:
SE 7-8% off msrp
SEL 8-9 % off msrp
higher trims 8-12% off msrp

yeah, it hasn't been easy. my 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport lease is ending this coming Wednesday and i haven't had any luck! This is the hardest it's been in securing a lease for a sonata. Everyone is giving me the run around and estimating my lease payments has me about $30-$40 more a month than what i'm paying now. every dealership in NJ, is saying i have to come in and they can't quote anything over the phone or email. who has that kind of time! lol

perfect timing for an end-of-quarter lease deal. suggest you pick the dealer with the most inventory of the trim/model you want and make a reasonable offer. Get the RV, MF and lease cash info from here and compute an offer.
example: " My offer is xxx driveoff and 35 additional payments of yyy"

RV, MF and incentives for Limited 3/36, 12K, zip 02062 Hyundai website now shows $0 for Tech Upgrade for Limited. I assume that is for existing stock. FYI...Hyundai sites show + versions for Sport and Limited 2.0T, but not for SEL or Limited....I assume they will have those up in the next few days. Still have not seen an SEL + for sale around me.

Very true...In my zip, SEL lease cash is $2,000 and SEL+ is $1,750. If they want to clear the lots of the SEL's that have been sitting there for months, they should bump up the SEL lease cash or make the Tech Package free like it looks they have done on the Hyundai site for the Limited.

Also, looks like no $500 Bonus cash for the SEL +, but regular SEL does get $500 bonus cash. Is that correct?

good grief! i just noticed the incentive soup with all the new Plus models. Talk about making things complicated.

Looks like SEL+ gets 250 less in lease cash and no 500 sales event cash.

Checking local dealer sites online. It would be a great deal if it had the SEL incentives. Even with the difference in incentives, they have one that for some reason is lower price than the others and it's basically the same as in SEL.
