2018 Lexus RX Lease Deals and Prices

Need some advice. I’m looking at a 2018 RX350 F Sport with lots of extras. MSRP is $60,639. They are discounting the car $5,603 so sale price is $55,036. Term is 36 or 39 months depending on which is the better deal, 7500 miles/year, residual value is 58%, MF is .00055, and they are giving $2,500 lease cash back. I’m also willing to put down $2,000. My numbers aren’t adding up to the dealer’s numbers and I can’t figure out why. Can you tell me what my payments should be with tax in for 36 months and 39 months? Zip code is 33175.

What payment is the dealer quoting? And, find out the adjusted CAP cost the dealer is using or that quote.

If I use $52,536 as the cap cost, I get a payment of $531/mo, plus tax.

Residual: 56%

This is for a 3yr/15k per year with 0 down, only the first month's payment and document fees.

Hi! Thanks for your help. I’ll attach the dealers quote below. I guess maybe I need some clarification. I see how you arrived at the cap cost of $52,536 ($55,036 sale price - $2,500 lease cash), but where do I plug in the $2,000 cash that I’m giving as a down?

I got $524.95 a month, tax in (7% tax). I did subtract the $2,000 out of pocket.

Here is what the dealer quoted me:
I’m specifically looking at 36/7,500 with $2,000. The payment would be $553 tax in.

You don't have all of the numbers.
Get disclosure of all of the fees. It's likely that your $2000 isn't enough to cover the first payment and all fees. Especially, in Florida, where dealer fees tend to be onerous. Until you know if you have excess or a deficit from your $2000, you can't calculate a payment.
Ignore the tax number from your document. That is for purchase only.

I have this random Nitrogen / Door Edge charge for 795, and these Non-Tax Fees? Do they have to disclose the Non-Tax Fees to me? Also the MF seems really high, at .00155, I think Michael was able to help me showing me it was .00055 instead

Yep, that's a lousy quote.

Ask them to break out the fees.
The $795 stuff is junk.

Politely tell them you want the base MF, or you find another dealer.

Okay.. I get 593/mo, assuming taxes and fees are paid upfront.

About $1600 added to get the payment to $638/mo.
$550 tax, $795 acquisition fee, $300 DMV/dealer fees?

Seems about right, if it's just first payment due at signing.

That tax credit thing is huge. Saves you about $80/mo.

Correct - you could do 2 SDs, but not really worth it.

.00055 and 58% is correct, along with the $2500 lease cash

I get $568/mo, tax included, if I subtract the $2500 from the $55,036 selling price.

My guess is that some of the $2000 up front cash is going to cap reduction.

Ask the dealer for the breakdown of how the $2000 is applied.

I guarantee you that every Florida dealer has fees - large ones. They can't help themselves.

thank you. just an update. Couldn't get to 7 MSD as that would have put it below .00001 so stuck with 6 MSD leaving it at .00007 MF which bumped things up a little. Tried to ask dealer to inflate the base MF to .00056 or .00057 so I can use 7 MSDs but no go. So I negotiated the sell price down to 54,182. Registration came out to 315.50 so that helped out too. I paid the registration up front and left everything else into the monthly payments. Total for option 1 now came to 584.24. All in all I am relatively happy with the new car.
