    My first time leasing, I have no clue what I got myself into. And been researching on leases but man can’t understand it. But the payment was where I needeed it to be and that’s why I did it. Anywho came across this and I wanted to ask how bad did I get CRACKED with a 2019 Civic Sport Cvt lease. Hope some one can shine some light please and thank you. 

    They were asking for $22,845 
    Got the car for $21,260
    Got a red alert for $595 ( some bs gadget they installed and had to buy if I wanted to buy) 
    Total $22,450

    36 month lease/ 12k miles per year 

    No money came out of my pocket. 
    If it helps to know I got this with a 687 credit score 
    Monthly $322.78 

    I’m in California zip 93234

    Hey Guys,
    About the Civic TYPE R, what is the MF and residual for 36-39-42-48 months. I have a huge amount of negative equity but not sure if Honda offer longer terms. Is there a 10k a year option or 12k is the minimun?

    12K/yr is the minimum.

    Given the small (or non-existent) discounts on the Type R, I doubt you'll have enough room to roll much negative equity into the lease.

    Are you sure $595 isn't the lease acquisition fee?
    If so, that is required on all Honda Finance leases.
    What is the pre-tax payment?
    What is included in the $22,450 total besides the sale price?
    Is $22845 the MSRP?

    Ah... it looks like you might fall into the Northern California region?
    They get a .00205 MF (unfortunately)

    Now it makes sense.

    The actual adjusted CAP cost used is $21950 (got that by adding residual + depreciation)
    Using .00205 MF and that adjusted CAP, I get $296/mo+tax, which is about right, assuming 9% sales tax rate.

    Given the rest of your numbers, and having ZERO out of pocket, it isn't a bad deal.
    The $820 dealer contribution towards the upfront money is basically an additional discount from them.

    Correct $296.20 base monthly and $26.58 sales tax. 

    And yes norther California region sadly. 

    But now I just feel better about the deal. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. Glad I found this forum.

    I can't believe how these Civic leases have skyrocketed in the last 3 years. I don't have all the figures with me right now but we are just coming to the end of a 36/12K lease on a 2016 EX-T for $215/month. I do know the selling price of the car was $20,800 and we paid $1000 total at signing and the MF was no more than .00001. It blows my mind that it can be as much as $100 more for the same lease today.

    Almost every category of vehicle has a more expensive lease payment now than 3 years ago. The cost of money is going up, and the residual values seem to have been settling into a more 'realistic' pattern.

    It's rare for Honda to have regional differences, like they do now on the Civic.

    It's possible, that even if you lease from an Illinois dealer, that Honda Finance will not allow the lower money factor. I don't know if that will happen, but be ready for it.

    I live near a state border, and I can recall Honda ads in the past that state: "Ohio residents only".

    Wow! Is this the bottom line posted thus far - 12k/3Yr lease, $235/month, $0 down, Drive off: First month payment ($235) + MV fees ($230). I don't even see a doc fee OOP here. Looks like this is BEST DEAL!
