The incentive is for the dealer. If you lease the vehicle, they get it.

So the amounts in the down payment column is the amount due at signing. And we can put whatever you'd like in the column as long as it at least covers drive-offs which are DMV and first month's payment which is about $888 dollars.

The Acq fee ($595) is already included in the calculations for the lease payments as it is part of the adjusted cap cost. My formula for calculating the adjusted cap depends on how much you want to put down. For the 1000 down payment, I'm showing an adjusted cap of $29339.35. For 2k down, it is 28309.89.

I agree with the math - I get $319/mo with the $1000 down cap cost.

I do not have the paperwork in front of me for all the numbers, but I signed my lease on my 2019 CR-V EX AWD this weekend. (Massachusetts)

I had a trade in that would have been difficult to sell private party, which they offered $1900 for.

So, $1900 (trade-in) DAS. No other taxes/fees/etc.

$250/month (includes monthly tax).

Dealer originally offered me $398/month + trade in + all taxes/dealer fees, which I thought was insane. I asked to have all the numbers broken down, money factor they used, residual factor, etc. We were around ~26,500 sale price (included destination) at this point so this seemed very high. Knowing I had done the research they came back with $270+trade in+fees, and we went from there.

This forum helped to know what other people were paying, negotiation tactics used, as well as breaking down the numbers. I still feel I could have done a little better but I was happy with this. So thank you!

For Honda Financial, do you know what credit score they use to determine tier and do you know the score needed for the various tiers? Do you know the increases in MF going from say Tier 1 - 2 - 3 ot however they classify it.

When I got my BMW they had a cheat sheet like fico 8 say 700-720 was +0.0003, 680-700 was + 0.0007, 660-680 +0.0012, etc.....

I don't even know if they use fico 8 or any of the other scoring systems

Anything above 660 gets you the top tier MF; anything below has a MF of .00113

Don't know what scoring method HFS uses.

If I add the $595 acquisition fee to the CAP, I get the same payment.
The only way to get a lower payment, is to get a bigger discount.
Keep in mind that Honda is giving the dealer a $500 incentive

A few notes
1) Leasing for a short term in TX will kill you, as you pay sales tax on the full price of the vehicle, amortizing it over few months.
2) Any Honda lease will be much more efficient for 36 months, regardless of TX taxes. The residual is just 6% lower for 36/12
3) The EX is much more bang for the buck, as the residual is 3% higher than the LX. The payment for the more expensive EX might be as little as $10/mo. more than the LX.
