    I got a lease quote for 2019 CX-5 Sig but the monthly payment numbers do not add up when I factor in the down payments.
    MSRP = 37935
    Gross Cap= 35400
    Cap Cost Red = 1490
    RV = 55%
    MF = 0.00085
    36M/10K

    With $0 down, my calculation comes out to $445.7
    However per the dealer below are the monthly payments
    2k down, $445.7
    3k down, $357.29
    4k down, $298.35

    Per my calculation, the monthly payments should look like below
    2k down, $383.31
    3k down, $352.11
    4k down, $320.90

    Am I making mistaking in calculating or is it normal for gross cap to change based on down payment?

    You are likely not factoring in the up front costs of a lease:

    Dealer doc fee
    Acquisition fee
    Taxes on the down payment and any incentives

    Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost their quote is based on, and how they arrived at that number from the gross cap.
