Hey there. Looking to verify the quality of a lease special being offered at my local dealership pre-negotiation.
2020 Velar R-Dynamic P340 MSRP $70,893 39 months 7500 miles $5000 drive off 59% residual .00074 MF $1000 mfg rebate
$579 + tax / month
Thanks in advance!
I confirm .00074 and 59%, and the $1000 incentive
Why $5000 drive off?
What is the selling price? What is the ZIP code?
The $5000 drive off is just the promoted offer. It is $3113.39 cap reduction, $398.85 sales tax, $768.75 license/reg, $634.01 first monthly payment, $85 dealer document fee.
Zip code 90292
I'm not sure of the selling price. Should I ask the sales rep for that number?
Looks like an advertisement, rather than an actual offer from the dealership.
Always best to ask for an actual offer on a unit that they have in stock, and see how it compares. It's entirely possible that the offer will not resemble the ad, at all.
I have already confirmed the offer directly with the dealer on the exact vehicle I want and it is confirmed.
Given the information I've provided, does this sound like a good deal?
I would definitely want to know the Selling price and Adjusted CAP cost.
Seems like a reasonable deal. Is 7.5K miles/yr enough?
Roger that, I just requested the selling price and adjusted cap cost.

How do fees like doc fees and acquisition fees factor into the lease payment along with 1st months payment or they just part of the up front fees you expect to pay upon the initial lease agreement
How do fees like doc fees and acquisition fees factor into the lease payment along with 1st months payment or they just part of the up front fees you expect to pay upon the initial lease agreement
You can choose how to handle them. Our recommendation is that you roll those fees into the cap cost and make them part of the monthly payment.
Your due at signing should be restricted to the first payment and any non-taxable government fees (registration costs, etc.).
Got my quote for a 2020 Velar P250 S and was questioning the Due at signing fees that include bank acquisition fee of $950.94 and Doc fee of $632.19. Do these seem high and should I be looking for a minimum 5% margin discount? I heard that there is usually a 2% dealer hold back that the dealer tries not to give. Thanks again for all your information

Land Rover numbers are national.
I'll guess that your two fees are after sales tax has been added. The lease acquisition fee is $895 Dealer doc fees are determined by the dealer. You don't get anything extra for paying them.
dealer is offering money factor 0.00152 / residual 60%
MF seems a little inflated?
340 or 250?
I'll assume 250, as the 39 month MF is .00102
I'll let you decide what the definition of little is.
Sorry, 250. I have a JLR private offer for 10% off MSRP. I asked for the base MF but he said the MF for this particular private offer is .00152. Does the MF actually change when using a JLR private offer pin?

MF markups are at the dealer's discretion. It likely has nothing to do with the private offer.
Trying to confirm MF and RV for velar 250p r-dynamic 36/12k for zip code 89044
I had an offer on a loaner that the lease payment came out higher than a new one and it didn’t make any sense. I told him that what I know if MF of .00098 and RV of 58% and he’s saying it’s incorrect. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This salesperson quoted me 34.4% on residual value on the loaner. He took me for an idiot or he didn't know what he was doing. His question is (and sales person also asked where I'm getting the information), and for me as well, how do you find out the MF and RV for these vehicles? Are you guys dealers/brokers?

We are neither; we are just a couple of guys trying to help level the playing field for customers.
That said, we don't know how LR addresses the residual adjustment for loaner vehicles. Generally, there is some per mile charge subtracted from the residual.
Thanks Michaell! You guys are amazing in helping buyers who are doing their due diligence in research. I've learned so much in these forums and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on my purchase. We should have a final deal hopefully by tomorrow morning. The minimum we will get is 7.5% Off MSRP + $1,000 lease bonus. Hoping 9% off MSRP + $1,000 lease bonus. We are looking at some courtesy vehicles to see if same rules for MF and RV applies to get the best payment for ourselves. Got my fingers crossed~~~
Ok...I'd be curious to know what makes 24 moths so poor? Higher MF? Ultimately, I'm looking at total lease cost as a part of my decision. For example, if a 39 month lease was $500 month, that's $19,500...but my payment could be as high as $812.50 a month on a 24 month and still hit the same total "cost". I like to switch up my cars often so 24 months is usually where I stay...but nevertheless....

Hi everyone, final update and would love to hear the verdict. Just signed:
P250 R-Dynamic $69,300 MSRP 36/15 8% off MSRP / base MF 0.00098 (Actual deal was 9.6% off MSRP at inflated MF of .00128 but it’s equivalent) $863 incl tax (36/12 would have been 825 Incl tax) Zip: LA area
Was a unique color (Aruba) so my guess is the car sat on their lot for a little and they were down to give a good discount. They thought they offered the same payment for 39month lease but they honored the monthly price based on our email exchange confirming that I requested pricing for 36/12 originally. If they didn’t make that mistake i probably wouldn’t have gotten the deal. Great customer service all around. Had gotten better offers off of MSRP but all of them were inflated money factors ranging from .00146 to .00196!!! I believe I got a decent deal and hope everyone else shopping gets a great deal on their velar! Special thanks to Michaell and other moderators for all of their help!
For everyone wondering I got it from South Bay Land Rover. Message me if you have any questions~

That's a pretty solid discount, and not an awful bump to the MF.

6000 is a lot of miles. It's possible this unit isn't eligible for the new car program..
@kyfdx is that an appropriate doc fee and what are the non-tax fees? Aslo, they are swearing up and down that the correct residual is .59? How can they say that? What is the residual and MF for 39 months?

Yes, 7500 is plenty as this is a second vehicle.
