I am thinking now that I might not afford a 5 series :(  since I am looking to be under $500/m.
Until this dealers give me quotes I want to calculate something on a 428i gran coupe. I know this is wrong forum but 4 series one seems dead.
Could I get MF,  RV on a 36/10 428i GC please?
I configured one on bmw usa and come up to $52,520(m,drv asst, prem, tech, hk).
This looks a lot more reasonable if I could get this on for invoice price - 3k down and a credit incentive I should be in the $450/m range, correct?
    Please let me know

I disagree, you can get a 528 for about $500.00 a month if you look hard and get the drive $1k credit.

No, I assumed a 1% bump from 10K if a 7500 mile program existed. If not, then subtract 1% from what I posted for 10K.

The money factor remains the same, only the residual changes based on mileage. Try to use MSDs to bring the money factor down.

I worst part about leasing (or buying) a built car is waiting for it to arrive in the States. My 535x left Germany on June 30th and the boat stopped in Belgium and the UK. It is now crossing the Atlantic and the next port will be Halifax on the 13th. It will dock at Newark on the 15th and hopefully my car will be at the dealer by the 18th. Fingers crossed!

Waiting is hard!! Amazing how they ship and you're able to track your car. I wonder how they transport them on the ship. If they are in a container or stacked up in the hull.

The base MF is .00130 for every 2015 BMW. .00170 is with maximum mark-up allowed.

So the dealer is guarantying that it is marking up the money factor to make more money. Go to a different dealer.

Sounds like a terrible deal to me. You should be able to do MUCH better. What part of the country are you in? BMW gives you $1,500 off plus an additional $500.00 ECO credit. They are only giving you $1,000 off MSRP!

+1 on those comments. You should be able to secure a discount of 4-6% off sticker before applying the incentives.

Also possible that they are marking up the MF, but we don't know for sure.

What do you guys think about this deal..

    2015 BMW 528 xi
    Black sapphire metallic
    Black nappa
    Cold weather package
    Drivers assist package
    Luxury line
    Premium package

    MSRP: 60,150
    Destination: 950
    Total suggested MSRP 61,600

Quoted: total cap cost 54,145 (hes including 1500 bo cash and 1000 drive event)
    3 year, 15K/ year
everything rolled in (Taxes, tags), NY sales tax of 7.375%
    MF: .00130
    Residual 61%

    $660.79

this is without any negotiation. I think its high and i think i can get the car for around 54K before the incentives are added in.

    Thoughts?

We typical get all numbers itemized to use in a calculator. We can't tell if the dealer marked up the acquisition fee, added anything else and we can't confirm the interest rate.

I get $603/mo before tax and about $648/mo after. Another $400 or so of fees would take the payment right to the $661 you were quoted.

With the info I have, does this sound like the start of a decent deal? This is the first quote they gave me, but I'd prefer a much lower monthly payment. I'm assuming the money factor and residual are what they should be since I was told they were giving me Friends and Family pricing (since I work for a large bank they partner with - but they may tell everyone that).

    2015 BMW 528i
    36 mo/ 12 miles/yr
    msrp: 57,270
    discounts off MSRP 5,790.80
$900 down includes 1st payment, tag and other fees
NC tax on purchase is 3% - but I'm not sure how that works for a lease here.

    $689/month

    Thank you for any opinions.

.00130 and 63% for 36/12 on the 528i. Using your MSRP and selling price, I get $627.12/mo before tax. If the payment is taxed directly, then it's $646/mo

I'd ask the dealer what the net cap cost is .. given that you're only putting out $900 at signing and the bank fee alone is $725, I'm guessing some of those up front costs are being added into the lease.

That payment seems high. Can you get a itemized breakdown of the costs? Also, ask the dealer to confirm the money factor, if it is more than .00130, the dealer is marking it up.

I plugged your numbers in to leaseguide.com and get a very different payment. I get $530.9/month ($515.44 + $15.46 tax). I wonder why there is so much difference in the monthly payment that the dealer is quoting you vs. leaseguide.com? I used MF of 0.0013 and residual value 63%. Perhaps someone (moderator) can confirm my numbers, or advise what I am doing incorrect. I am also I in the market for a 5 series. Let me know if I should be using leaseguide.com to calculate payments. thanks!

Let me know if I should be using leaseguide.com to calculate payments. thanks!
OP doesn't mention the CAP cost or the money factor. Also, there would be an acquisition fee. MF and acq.fee might be marked up. Not positive about tax in NC, but the 3% tax might be on the full selling price.

You can get killed on a lease, not knowing the details.

plugged your numbers in to leaseguide.com and get a very different payment. Let me know if I should be using leaseguide.com to calculate payments. thanks!

I used an App called Leasematic for my IPhone and found it to be a great help and it allows me to play with the downpayment and MSDs.

It's all about knowing what numbers to use. MSRP is simple - that's the bottom line number on the window sticker. MF and residual you can get from us ... .00130 is the correct (base) MF and the 36/12 residual is 63%. That leaves only the cap cost unknown. This is not always the same as the negotiated selling price - you can add in fees and taxes that increase that number (and the monthly payment).

And, as my co-host noted, the MF can be marked up to as much as .00170 by the dealer.

I use a home built spreadsheet to calculate lease payments - apps and calculators may make assumptions that affect the results.

What lease term and how many miles per year.

No information on if CPO cars can be leased, or if the numbers are different than for new cars.

Ok, there were a few "executive demos" in the area that are available to lease. But i'm looking for 36months and 12-15k miles.

    .00130 and 60% for 36/15. Add 2% for 12K. $1500 buildout cash.
