I get a pre-tax payment of $336.53 when I use your numbers. If you are paying all your taxes up front there shouldn't be any increase to the payment I provided.

Ask the dealer why there is a $60+ discrepancy in payment.

Absolutely - we'll never know the true price the dealer paid. And, it doesn't matter, so long as you're comfortable with the deal you made.

Amortizing your $8000 over the term of the lease, you are paying about $430.mo. to lease that vehicle.. Not terrible, but not cheap, either..

Excellent point...makes more sense (to me) to purchase. I typically pay off loans early, but at 1.9% interest, it may be in my best interest to take advantage of their money. Thanks

I'd recommend you use the pricing tools at the top of the page to configure and establish a target price for the cars you are interested in.

You can also read back a few pages in this discussion to see what others have negotiated.

Sales tax for leases is calculated up front in NY.

If I add the sales tax ($869.92, calculated against the depreciation amount of $10,995.96) and add it to the $28K cap cost, I still only get a monthly payment of $359.54.

It's possible your dealer is marking up the MF on you for extra profit.

My data only shows the base coming with a manual transmission.

36/15 numbers are 60% and .00135 for the base, and 57% and .00118 for the Premium
