    Might be cheaper is they quit growing a food and feed crop to make ethanol out of.... Better than MTBE as an emissions additive I suppose.

    Saw some for $2.45 yesterday with diesel at $2.47. Just that low at a couple of stations so far.

    Still $2.19 and a twenty cent difference between the cheapest station (Costco) and the most expensive (Shell).

    Being that it's arrival weekend here at Penn State, prices are kind of jumpy at the moment as a lot of Mom & Dads are going to have to fill up to get out of town (NO... that kind of price manipulation NEVER happens, just ask them)

    Up 4 cents to $2.63 at most places, up 3 cents to $2.54 at Sam's

    You got San Diego beat by a bit. Cheapest around me is $3.33 for RUG. Diesel keeps going down. I can get it for as low as $2.45 with CC.

    Just back from a trip to NYC area. Saw $1.85 for RUG in Ramsey, NJ. Paid $2.39 along I-80 this morning, and it's sitting at $2.55 here in State College.

    Filled at Costco for $2.99, first time under $3 bucks in a good while. State Senate just approved a 12 cent gas tax hike. I guess some state must have passed us and CA cannot be outdone on taxing. Diesel holding at $2.49 last couple weeks.

    Makes sense, we are currently at 60 cents. Add 12 cents and we get to be the highest until you kick yours up. I hope we don't ever beat your diesel tax. Man they get you good @ 89.7 cents per gallon. We are at 63.78.

    My favorite tax is the "temporary" 10 cents that was added to deal with excessive snow in 1994. Guess that temporary means at least 20 years

    Filled up a friend's car for $2.47; later went by the cheap gas area of town and saw a couple of stations at $2.35. Was $2.79 up the road at a small town.

    We're moving to the next town north of us (about 8-10 miles) in a couple of weeks; the closest gas station to the new house is also affiliated with a Kroger grocery store. RUG there was $2.649 today; $2.689 at the Kroger near my old house.

    I am kind of curious about the logic behind needing an attendant to pump your gas in states like NJ. I'm highly qualified enough to do it in PA, but if I cross the river... B)

    Oregon has the same rules. However, I found they are more than willing to let you pump your own in Oregon.

    That hasn't been my experience, except for a motorcycle and a boat(fiberglass).

    I've been reprimanded before by trying to fill my cars, however...

    Kind of surprised me as well last trip. Roseburg 76 station. I asked the young man if it was against the law for people to fuel their own vehicles. His answer, no go ahead if you like. Which I did.

    Oh, I can't imagine Oregon not being weird. It's a badge of honor, as opposed to New Jersey where we hang our heads in shame.

    On the other hand RUG is $1.97 locally and if I wanted to go a bit out of the way can get it for $1.91.

    As prices continue to drop pretty much everywhere,we seem stuck at $2.49. And with this being the first of 5 consecutive home games for Penn State, I don't sense any weakening anytime soon with "supply and demand" being the most likely "reason"

    Filled for $2.35 Thursday. Went to El Paso yesterday and they are running ten to fifteen cents higher than southern New Mexico.

    There's an oddball Shell in Las Cruces that has RUG for $2.49, mid grade for $2.69 and premium for a whopping $3.06.

    Haven't checked the truck stops on the Interstate here, but diesel in town is running around $2.55.
