Does anyone know how Geico, Amex, etc incentives work? It seems those are currently being offered as $1000 incentive for MDX (not sure if it applies to every dealer). Are they similar to conquest rebate in the sense that Geico or Amex is paying the dealer $1000 for the promotion and thus the buyer has ability to potentially get the car for invoice minus 1000 for conquest minus 1000 for GEICO rebate?

Also does anyone know if these rebates can be combined - for example can a buyer get both Geico and Amex rebate?

This is Michigan with 6% Sales Tax. They also list a $30 fee.

6% tax takes the payment to $543/mo. I'd find out what the net cap cost is - if different than the selling price, ask what's been added.

I am trying to figure out what a good deal for a 2016 MDX AWD SH with Acura Watch package. 36/15. MSRP: $47,455; Selling $44,461(can I get lower?) in NY (westchester 7.5% tax). Looking for everything rolled in with no money down. Can you provide Residual and MF on that? Also, what should the payment be? Thanks in advance! We don't track selling prices, and we would need to know the net cap cost with all fees and taxes rolled into the selling price to model a payment.

Hello, I didn't know where to post so here goes:

I currently have a 2014 Acura MDX AWD Tech on a lease (26k miles)

MSRP = 49460.00
Agreed on value = 48498.53
Gross Cap Cost = 50462.78
Cap Cost Reduction = 340.69
Adjusted Cap Cost = 50122.09
Residual Value = 32643.60
Dep & Amortized Amounts = 17478.49
Rent Charge = 4767.35
Total payments = 22245.84 (divide by 36 and i'm currently paying 617.94)

MF (i think...) is 0.0016

It's in good condition. Two questions:

1. Was this lease rate good? (someone told me that the the residual value was really high so definitely a good deal but then the rent charge was a bit high)

2. Knowing the above... should I buy it out for $32,600? Or is it not worth the residual value anymore?

If, value wise, it's a good value, I prefer to buy it instead of returning it.

A couple of questions @silvex:  

Is the lease on your 2014 MDX up or are you trading it in early?

What is your current payment and how many payments do you have left?

The gross cap cost is $1,964.25 higher than the Agreed on Value.  I think the dealer is taking your remaining payments or negative equity and rolling it into your new lease agreement.

If I were you, I'd investigate further.  Go over to REAL WORLD TRADE IN VALUES here on edmunds.  Ask @qbrozen (that's with a Q) what he thinks you car is worth based on what they are crossing the auction block at.  Give him specifics:  make, model, color, condition, options, FWD OR AWD, miles, what state or region of the country you are located in.  He's usually dead on.

Find out what you owe on the car (payments remaining plus lease end buy out) & compare it to he number @qbrozen gives you.

Then go back to your dealer and find out what he is giving you for your 2014 MDX on the trade in.

My lease is up in July. It was a 36 month lease with $617 in monthly payment. The reason for the gross cap issue may be my trade in in 2014 of $2099.

So in July, I'm wondering if I should just return this car and buy a different one OR if it is worthwhile to keep this car because of the "good value"
