thanks very much for your prior response. if we do msds or a one payment lease, is there a reduction in the mf, and how much? thanks.
I was going to do a One Pay Lease in January on a 2015 AWD Advance. The Money Factor was basically 0 (0.00001). Problem was the dealer refused to do it because they said when they tried once before, Acura Financial rejected the lease, even though it was on their One Pay form. So the dealer gave me an additional $500 off and I just did the regular 36 Mo 15K lease at a 0.00069 Money Factor.
Is the money factor still .00101 for cars with Acura Watch or did that end in April? Also, they still have the $0 down lease advertised. Does going $0 down lower the money factor? Above the difference was .00131 vs. .00141.

Looks like the promo rate ended last month. Base MF is .00141; .00131 for $0 down leases continues.
Good morning. I'm coming off an 2012 MDX Tech 36/10k with about 22k miles on it and a a few small dings on the corners from NYC driving. I want to be taken out of my lease and swap into a 2016 MDX Tech also 36/10k (NO AcuraWatch). Colors are White/Parchment on both. I live in NYC but will travel to NJ/CT for the right deal. Given the term's can someone share what the money factor, residual value as well as any fee's one might expect (I understand there is a $595 acquisition fee for the bank, for instance). Any help is much appreciated.

When I plug in the numbers on one of the lease calculators, I get around $624. This is my breakdown, please let me know if this looks right.
One question I had was the residual, is this on the cost of car+dest or just cost of car from the manufacturer?
MSRP $51,410 Base Cap Cost $47,410 Additional Lease Costs Dealer Acquisition Fee $595 Registration $305
Net Capitalized Cost $48,310
Lease Terms and Taxes Residual Value $31,610 (61% of 51410??) Money Factor 0.00141 Term of Lease 36 Sales Tax 7.0%
Calculation of Lease Cost Depreciation $16.950.00 Finance or Rent Charge $4,044 Sales Tax on Lease $1,469.58 Total of All Payments $22,463.63
Total Lease Payment $25,541.37
Calculation of Monthly Lease Payment Monthly Lease Payment $583.17 Sales Tax on Lease Payment $40.82 Total Monthly Lease Payment $624
Your depreciation and finance charges are correct.. In NJ, if you want to roll in the tax, it has to be added to the CAP cost (because it's paid upfront). That will result in a slightly higher number on the monthly payment.
Can someone tell me what fees I should expect for the lease, From what I read here, its acquisition and registration fees. What other fees get charged on a lease in NJ?

Getting $625/mo for a 36/10 on a Tech with Ent package... seems high, yes? First payment down, $52,200, with final sales price at 46,500...
Yep, something doesn't add up. Using the 62% residual for 36/10 on the Tech + Ent, and the base MF of .00141 along with your MSRP and sales price gives me a pre-tax payment of $504/mo.
Either the MF is marked up and/or the net cap cost is way higher than the sales price. Get the dealer to provide the details behind their quote.
Base MF is .00141 ... using your numbers, I get a pre-tax payment of $472.94 on the Tech + Ent and $447.26 for the Tech.
We do not recommend making a down payment on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.
Is this a good deal? What else can I negotiate on?

I ended up buying instead of leasing because IMO the residual was undervalued for the 2016 car. The MSRP was $58K.
It was an Acura 2016 MDX Adv w/RES (Approx. 59K OTD incl. tax)
For buying, the price I got was $55721 ($55,801 + 920 destination). Additionally where I got screwed over was they did sell me the 10Y/100K warranty for $2300 and that is why they gave me a low APR. They started initially with 2.09% for 60 months. Put 7K down. APR of 1.79% for 72 months. (They did all the All Weather Mats)
Lessons learnt and I hope somebody can use this to even get a better deal: 1) Always go at the last day of the month. In fact, if you can check and find out when Acura's fiscal year ends, go a day before that. Sometimes company's fiscal may not be calendar year. 2) If you have good credit, push on the APR as much as you can. They started on 2.99% and ended up with 1.79% (they have a ton of room). In fact I know for a fact that you can get as low as 0.9% today if you want to even for 72 months or 60 months 3) Bring your downpayment in cash. When the dealer says oh we cannot do that price that you are asking. Dangle the carrot, take out the envelope and say you are ready to buy today but it's unfortunate and walk out. Do this at the very end.
This may or maynot work depending on your area, but just my 2 cents.

I'm sorry for the ridiculous question, but I don't understand any of these numbers. I'm looking at leasing a 2016 MDX with Tech that I was going to originally purchase. They didn't have the vehicle on the lot, so it was trailored over and I haven't picked it up. Now I'm having second thoughts about financing because the monthly is just too hot after running the numbers. I guess I got carried away. I had planned putting down 5K from the sale of my old car but at 1.99%, it's still too high. Now I'm considering leasing instead which I hope will bring down the price considerably. My question is: I plan on removing the 5K from the deal, The car was sold to me at an agreed price of $46,700, which is below trucar and probably a reasonable price. I live in Florida where the sales tax is 6%. If I were to lease at 35 months (one month free), with $1500 down and 10K miles per year, what would my monthly payment be? Thank you!!

Can't calculate a lease payment without the MSRP
MSRP: 48,210 - Thanks
Using the base MF of .00141, the 36/10 residual of 63% along with your MSRP and selling price, I get a lease payment of $596/mo with tax.

Also, they still have the $0 down lease advertised. Does going $0 down lower the money factor? Above the difference was .00131 vs. .00141.

The difference is about $200 over the term of the lease (36 months? - you don't specify). Could be another fee being added into the cap cost.

Lessons learnt and I hope somebody can use this to even get a better deal:
1) Always go at the last day of the month. In fact, if you can check and find out when Acura's fiscal year ends, go a day before that. Sometimes company's fiscal may not be calendar year.
2) If you have good credit, push on the APR as much as you can. They started on 2.99% and ended up with 1.79% (they have a ton of room). In fact I know for a fact that you can get as low as 0.9% today if you want to even for 72 months or 60 months
3) Bring your downpayment in cash. When the dealer says oh we cannot do that price that you are asking. Dangle the carrot, take out the envelope and say you are ready to buy today but it's unfortunate and walk out. Do this at the very end.
