Hey guys, I need your advice, as I am a bit confused as to what I just agreed to and am not sure if I got ripped off or not. I just leased a Q50a RWD (which is apparently the "base" model, which is actually what I had asked for), 39 mos 10k/yr, for $315 month(which includes taxes), and I put down only $650 (which was for the first month's payment, plates and fees), plus they payed off the last two months of my Passat lease. My concerns are that I had no idea that there was even a 2015 q50a, until I came outside, after signing the papers and I cannot find any information on MSRP, residual or MF are. I admit that I childishly jumped on this deal, after a few negotiations. Also, my lease paper work says that I have a Q50 premium, not a Q50a. Is it worth it to contact corporate about this? Or did I actually get a descent deal and they just wrote that for their own billing purposes? Sorry for the long story, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am a little confused, which car did you want? The all-wheel drive or the rear-wheel drive? The Q50a is the all-wheel drive. What does the back of your car say? I don't think there is much to do once the papers are signed unless your state is a "cooling off period" for leases.
Either way, I think you got a good deal given they also paid off your Passat

Thanks for your response Jamesbond15. I was looking for just a base Q50, RWD, as it is slightly cheaper than the AWD. I had no idea that they even made a Q50a(which is what it says on the back of the car). I am pretty sure that it is RWD. I guess I wanted to know if I got a descent deal, since I Cannot find any info an a 2015 q50a. I also am not sure if it matters that my lease says premium Q50, when clearly it is not a premium.

So after doing some more research the "a" on the Q50a means it is the base model. Infiniti has some of the dumbness naming around. Not sure why they thought adding the "a" would be a good idea given it can easily be confused with the AWD. So it looks like the Q50a you got is the base model.

I would imagine that as long as the VIN is correct on your paperwork it wouldn't really matter that they wrote premium.

$379/mo with tax is a pretty good deal on a car that stickers for $43K. Enjoy the new Infiniti!

    Hey guys,

Went to the dealership (Charlotte,NC) yesterday and this is what was given to me. Haven't signed any paperwork yet, just my application for credit approval. I also have my first months payment on hold as a gesture of good faith to follow through*

    2015 Q50 Premium (RWD)

    MSRP: $41,335
    Dealer Discount: $6,844
    TruePrice: $34,491
Accessories (Includes maintenance and tire replacement*): $749
    Total: $35420
    Tax: $475.41
    Balance: $35,715
    Monthly: $418.37 out the door

First month is all that is required down.

    Residual: 56%
    MF: .00085

Thoughts? I would hate to walk in tomorrow to finalize the deal and back out or try and re-negotiate once the car arrives but I also want the best monthly possible.

    Appreciate anyone's input

Pretty sure the base MF is 0.00025, so they have a huge mark up there. Also, unless you're in an area with nails and potholes everywhere, I'd get rid of that $749 maintenance and tire accessory. Only things you need during your lease are a few oil changes and air filters that you can swap out yourself.

This being my first lease and them already shipping the car from another dealer, plus the fact they have my first months payment on hold, how would you approach the MF situation. I'll make sure to ask them to remove the Accessory price.

Hey guys, I just leased my q50a yesterday and was hoping to get some advice. The dealer tried to scare me into buying the maintenance package, which includes oil changes as well as some sort of a inspection at 15,000 miles and at 30,000 miles, that will cost me a $400 and $700. Can anyone confirm that these are mandatory inspections that we have to undergo, or is this just another slimy car salesman, being slimy.

Politely but firmly explain to them that you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF. It's business not personal.

Just a heads up for the future, don't run your credit and don't leave any deposit until you are ready to sign right there and then.
The money factor depends on your credit, so maybe that is why the money factor is inflated. But ff you do have excellent credit then tell them you will not be taking the car. You didn't sign any papers and I assume your deposit is refundable.
They are supposed to show you your credit score.

Absolutely no maintenance package is required. On a lease you just need to service your car per the owners manual and that is it. I typically just get the oil changes and the tire rotation to ensure the tires are in good condition when I return it.

Thanks for the heads up on that. Yeah I would hope the deposit is refundable considering nothing was signed. My credit is within the Tier1-Tier3 bracket in which he stated, all of them receive the same MF. I'm not sure how they're pulling that out. I did receive a call from the sales rep today because I told him yesterday I believe the MF was inflated and he actually asked how I'm getting to this conclusion. Any ideas on how to approach the subject when I walk in today.

Tell him you just know ... and that you'll walk to another Infiniti dealer if he doesn't use the base MF. Be polite, but firm.

$650 down and $315, yea thats a good deal, how could you not think so.... my friend leased a G37X for 2000 down and $325 a month....and the G37X has been out for a lot longer than the Q50.

Tell them you did your research. The MF is what it is. DON'T TAKE THE CAR if they don't fix the MF. Since they seem slimy already, get all the numbers and bring them here and we can review. Get the MSRP, sales price, MF, residual %, drive off amount and monthly payment. Also, I wouldn't waste time at the dealership. Tell them you want to see all the numbers via e-mail prior to coming in.

I didn't know Infiniti had any Loyalty incentives but either way looks pretty good. I would squeeze them a bit more however on the discount. The dealer doc fee goes into their pocket and unfortunately it seems you don't live in a state where there is a reasonable limit to it. So I would probably play a little more hardball and then likely sign.

    Hello,

I have a question about tiers for a Q50 premium AWD. I heard from a sales man that Tier 1-5 have the same money factor. is this true? if so, what is this money factor? if it is not, What is the money factor for a Tier 4 credit?

    Thanks

Yes, it is true - any score above 660 qualifies for top tier MF. For Q50 AWD, the 24/36/39 MF is .00012.

    Hi,

Read through all the March posts and just want to confirm the following information since I found the information throughout multiple posts for a 2015 RWD Premium Q50 -

    12K

    36 Month - 56% / .00025
    39 Month - 55% / .00025

    10K

    39 Month - 56% / .00025

Can someone let me know the numbers for 10K/36 Month?

Also, a couple of questions on how MSD's work.

If the MF is .00025 and I do 1 MSD, it would bring the MF to .00015?
I would assume that since the MF is .00025, the maximum MSD's I would be able to do is 2, bringing the MF to .00005?

I currently am leasing a 2013 G37 and my lease is up in a few months. Infiniti has been leaving me messages the last couple of months and I figured I would drop by this weekend to see if I can grab a good deal. Just want to make sure I have all the information I need. :)

Thanks in advance. Appreciate all the information that is posted in this forum.

You are correct on the money factor, the max you can do now is 2 given the MF is already so low. The thing about trading in early is that currently Infiniti doesn't have the pull ahead program where they waive the last few payments. So any payments that are left will need to be paid by the dealer meaning the deal they will give won't be as good since they have to cover the last few payments. To prevent that somewhat, try to negotiate the best deal you can and then drop it on the dealer that you still have a few payments left.

What is the breakdown of the $2000?

Reversing your numbers to get the MSRP of $48,829, I get a $0 down, pre-tax payment of $389.02.

I don't track selling prices, so can't tell you if there is more room to negotiate there.

I came back with a tier 4 credit, but for a 2015 Q40. the finance manager was able to push it to three. Now that I know that tiers 1-5 get the same MF I think I am better off going for the Q50 instead.

question: are the Q40 tiers the same as Q50? or they change from car to car? Do you think my Q40 tier 3 approval will translate to the same tier to a Q50 or will it go down or up?

    Thanks

    Thanks,

Based on my situation, I would pay less for "rent" for a Q50 than what I would pay for a Q40 and doing some numbers I can get a 47K-51K Q50 for $40-50 more than what I would pay for a Q40. isn't that a way better deal!?

I just love this forum I found some much useful information to make the best deal of my car purchase. I got so screwed in my first lease :/

The tiers are the same regardless of model.
    Thanks,

Based on my situation, I would pay less for "rent" for a Q50 than what I would pay for a Q40 and doing some numbers I can get a 47K-51K Q50 for $40-50 more than what I would pay for a Q40. isn't that a way better deal!?

lol, I drive a kia and Since I got so screwed last time, I am going to pay around $20 less for a fully loaded Q40 than what I am paying right now. and I just love the interior of the Q50, I am willing to pay $50 more for the Q50 than the Q40 any day.

Yes I def will. I am just concerned because the finance manager said that if I switch cars to the Q50 he has to re-submit the application, and they may come with a different tier and everything and if I don't like what they come put with and want to go back to the Q40 they may not give me back my tier 3 approval. I don't know if he's being honest or not? what do you think?

what is the difference between tier 1-5 in the Q50 and then let's say a tier 6 or 7? what are those MF?

My credit took a big hit since I ran my credit many times it went down -25, I didn't know it was going to hurt that much when I was applying for cars all around.

I keep hearing that its not coming out until end of 2015 maybe even early 2016. I was going to wait and see what the numbers look like on that but I have no clue when the car is coming out and I'm looking to lease something before the end of April, early may....I have seen some pics of the car, looks really nice however who knows what leasing programs you will find, I think a fully loaded Maxima lease price would be the same as a Q50 Premium, would you rather drive and Infiniti or Nissan at that price?

Infiniti a nicer overall experience for sure, but Maxima is a nice ride. Not as sporty of a driver, but a bit roomier and more little goodies like the cooled seats. I wish they would offer the 18 month lease again I am always shopping for a new ride!

Im sure you will be able to get some really good deals on the 2015 maxima now that the 2016 is coming out, sure they are giving them away ahead of the new 2016.

    Tier 6 MF - .00145
    Tier 7 MF - .00202

    Both for AWD

    cap cost was $38,055 AWD

After calling a couple of different dealers I realized not such a good deal...

Just got off the phone with another dealer and this was the offer.

    Q50 Premium/NAV
    MSRP $45780
    Cap cost $37,800
    39mo/10k

$700 down $395 a month, he said if I come in he might be able to do it for $375 mo, I called another dealership and he said that it was an unbelievable deal, said he couldn't match it.
Said to run at that deal......Im really trying for $360 with 12k miles, will see what happen

Anyone think I could do better? Maybe free oil changes?
    12k miles?

He also ran the base Q50 AWD and it was about $700 down and $340Mo
That came with sunroof, splash guards and all weather mats, he also said it came with illuminated kick plates but I don't know if the base comes with that option. Im going monday to check it out and see if I can make a deal by Tuesday since I know they have the $3000 worth of infiniti lease incentives for March....

39/10 numbers on the AWD Premium are 56% and .00012. Using your MSRP and cap cost, I get a $0 down pre-tax payment of $325.20.

What state is this and what is your sales tax rate?
