Sorry to keep posting but just wanted to clean up my last message about the new offer I got
Q50 AWD premium/NAV
MSRP $45,780
Cap cost $37,800
$700 down
$395mo
39mo/10k miles
Before I got off the phone he said he might be able to do it for $375 mo.
Gave me a quick quote on Q50 base with sunroof, splash guards and All weather mats
I didn't get the Cap cost or MSRP but I got a quick number
$700 down and $340 Mo.
39/10 numbers on the AWD Premium are 56% and .00012. Using your MSRP and cap cost, I get a $0 down pre-tax payment of $325.20.
What state is this and what is your sales tax rate?
NY
8.375%
If I could get that for $325+ tax with zero down ...might be an awesome deal.
I would like to get the premium /navigation without leather. Leatherette from what I hear actually holds up better and not only that but also $1000 less. Im thinking most, probably 80% of Q50 premiums come with leather though ...
Thanks for the quick reply.

If I could get the q50 premium with navigation and leatherette I think that deal could easily be done for 0 down and 325 including tax....what do you think?
Wanted to see if this was a good deal... I keep seeing the MF at .00012 or .00019 but Southern Cali seems to be at .0005? Can someone confirm this for me?

I don't track transaction prices, so can't help you there. However, each $1000 of the net cap cost translates to a savings of $26/mo on the payment for a 39 month lease.

That's because the MF on the Hybrid is different .. and I confirm the .00050 for RWD. The 36/10 (or 39/10) residual for the RWD Hybrid Sport is 56%.
Using your MSRP and net cap cost, I get a pre-tax payment of $442.82/mo for 39 months; 9% tax bumps the payment to $482.67.

So its fair to say that the $3,000 Infiniti incentive is knocking off about $75 off monthly fees ?
Looking at a history of leases on the Q50 base it seems the average price that's great is about $325-$340 with about 1st months down and plates reg which is about $500-$700

Until the Q50 all Infinitis came with leather, which was not even two years ago. So I don't know how you would know that the leatherette (plastic) seats hold up better. You are leasing, every seat is going to hold up fine for 39 months. It is going to be real tough to find a car with nav and leatherette.

I noticed it will be hard to find but to be honest you can't even tell the difference ...plus its another $1000 less.
So I figure why not. But yea it will hard to find a q50 premium with leatherette
Also I didn't know till recently thar there was a $400 upcharge for white. Only color that cost more.
With the q50 navigation package is that just software they download since the screen is already there ?
The guy was trying to sell me on the navigation but today with cell phones and large screen tablets I know I don't need it. If car companies were smart they would bring down the navigation price to $250. I can by a Garmin all day long for $79.99-$99.99.
Its not a different screen, but screens don't run programs, they just display output. You need a device that reads GPS data off of a SD card located in the console, that reads the GPS data from satellites and then does its magic to combine them all. Hardware that a non-nav car does not have. In a non-nav all your screen does is show the rear view camera when the car is in reverse, and a big clock when it is not. NAV is software and hardware.

Also, based on Michaell's calculations the 36 month payment will be $519 while the 39 month payment will be $482. So that is about a $1300 difference over the lease. Registration for that last year will probably be $300 or so, thus it is no fun the pay registration for just 3 months but overall it is still a savings to go with 39 months.
Thank you contributors and mod, with help of forum I went into my lease with a lot more knowledge than otherwise would have. I signed on the following: 2015 Q50 Sport, AWD, Nav, Illuminated kick plates, Splash guards, Spare tire pkg, Cargo pkg, All weather pkg 39 month term/10k annual miles MSRP 49,030 Cap cost 41,741 Residual 27,456.80 (56%) Money factor .00012 $0 Down
Base monthly of 374.56 plus tax 23.41 (6.25%) for total monthly of 397.97 Drive off fee of 1,097.97 (first month payment of 397.97 plus 700 acquisition)
I could have done one MSD at 400 to save myself approx 7 a month, F&I mgr pretended he didn't know what I was talking about and at that point I made decision that it was not that important to me.
Deal is done so obviously cannot change anything. Thoughts on deal or anything that could have been done differently?
1. what are taxable AMO's? 2. why doesnt the "price" + taxable AMO's + acquisition fee = the gross cap cost? 3. based on the deal above should i be negotiating a better gross cap cost?

Thank you for that answer. I was wondering what that big screen showed when navigation wasn't installed ....
So that whole screen acts as a big clock and reverse camera? That doesn't make much sense ...I may be wrong but since the screen is already there how much could hardware be for navigation? Navigational hardware and software has come down in price greatly the last 10+ years.....When I went to see the 2016 acura ilx they offered a $200 package that can link your phone to the navigation screen which I thought was a brilliant idea......especially today with everyone using phones for navigation ...plus the amount of navigational maps offered in your phone is better than ever before....

AMO-- Just a guess but maybe its After Market Options? Are they adding something to the car?

Base MF and a healthy discount from sticker .. not much to improve on .. enjoy the new Infiniti!

Are these RWD or AWD? What trim level?
I've not seen the acronym AMO before - have the dealer explain what that is.
Generally, the acquisition fee is paid up front as part of the drive off costs.
Read through the last few pages of this discussion to see what others have been getting for discounts from MSRP.
My guess is AMO is After Market Option like wheel locks or something - will ask.
My major question is, if I decide to roll the acquisition fee in to the lease, shouldn't the "price" plus that fee plus the $99 = the gross cap cost? If not what is the difference between the "price" (which seems like an arbitrary number) and the gross cap cost?

I agree with your logic, I'm just not certain that it can be done. Most manufacturers charge a premium to the MF if you do add the acquisition fee to the cap cost; not sure how Infiniti handles it.
Thanks to all the information in this forum, I was able to negotiate a great deal for a 2015 Q50 AWD premium, navigation, leather and 19" wheels for $419 month! I will post the breakdown later today. I only have one question, is the "protection package" worth it? the finance manager have been pushing it so hard but I don't know if I should get it. It is $895 and it basically protects your rims and keys, they replace your rims if you brake, scratch them and they replace your key if you lose it.

LOL, I assumed. but he told me that if I scratch my rims that will be considered "excess wear and tear" when I return my lease and I will have to pay for it. And I also lost one of my keys from my last lease and that cost me around $400 just for the key, that's why I was considering it

I suppose it depends on where you live. If you're back east, I understand the pot holes can swallow house pets, so it might be a good insurance plan.

If you lease another Infiniti then there is $500 excess mileage and damage that is waived. The inspectors love to ding you for scratched rims. I have been hit with that on 4 of my lease returns.
I think I paid about 250-300 for a new key.

Hmm, I always add the acquisition fee to the cap cost and haven't had issues with the money factor. Did it with Infiniti, Acura and Mercedes leases.

The Q50 has been out for 20 months and the inTouch system still does not have everything that they promised up front, so don't hold your breath for what Honda/Acura is offering. If you have an iPhone you are going to be even more disappointed as to the limitation of inTouch. But that you can not blame Infiniti for, that is all Apple's fault.

Acquisition fee: Adding it to the CAP cost is different from waiving the fee.. In most instances, it's cheaper to add the fee, than waive it. Waiving it includes a bump in the money factor.
Wear and tear on turn-in: Just turned our G37X in, back in November.. didn't cost a penny, other than the disposition fee.
I decided to hold off on my lease, I think I went in rushing without looking at the overall picture, I know it was the end of the month and that it was the "best" time to lease according to the numbers they gave me, but after watching car commercials for the last 10-15 years its always the best time to lease, they always make you believe the deal is gone forever but in reality it never it is, they always have a deal coming, they will have memorial day deals and 4th of July events so I know there is never a rush to buy a car.... I walked away and will go back in the next month or 2, I know all about the $3000 infiniti incentives ending yesterday, but I also know the numbers they gave me 2 days ago at the end of March that I will be able to get those same numbers in the middle of April and beginning of May, I know the money factor changes and programs end and new ones begin, but I always know there is always a deal to be had.
Last deal I was offered was
Q50 Base 39/10k Ill Kickplates Splash guards Sunroof Weather mats
$700 out of pocket $339 a month
Q50 with premium and NAV 39/10 $650 out of pocket $385 a month

Out the door paying only the first month's payment of $387.
Awesome deal, especially after they are paying off the 3 remaining lease payments on your previous car, now for the 3 year maintenance plan they gave you, is that just oil changes and rotation of tires? or does that include replacing the in-cabin microfilter at 15,000 miles and the engine air filter and in cabin microfilters at 30,000????? Thats a question I would like to know, one dealership near me only said oil changes were included in the maintenance.
I got a quote for the Q50 Premium with nav at $650 down and about $385 a month however I didn't get the list of options included in that car when they showed me the numbers which I don't know why they didn't show....so I don't know if I was getting the all weather package and illuminated kick plates etc like you were quoted....

You can do the multiple security deposits to get the money factor down lower. Here is a quick summary on how those are done. http://www.napletoninfiniti.com/mulitple-security-deposit-benefits.htm (any Infiniti dealer can do it)
Also, based on Michaell's calculations the 36 month payment will be $519 while the 39 month payment will be $482. So that is about a $1300 difference over the lease. Registration for that last year will probably be $300 or so, thus it is no fun the pay registration for just 3 months but overall it is still a savings to go with 39 months.

1. what are taxable AMO's?
2. why doesnt the "price" + taxable AMO's + acquisition fee = the gross cap cost?
3. based on the deal above should i be negotiating a better gross cap cost?
Thx for any input!
AMO-- Just a guess but maybe its After Market Options? Are they adding something to the car?

Thx

I only have one question, is the "protection package" worth it? the finance manager have been pushing it so hard but I don't know if I should get it. It is $895 and it basically protects your rims and keys, they replace your rims if you brake, scratch them and they replace your key if you lose it.

Wear and tear on turn-in: Just turned our G37X in, back in November.. didn't cost a penny, other than the disposition fee.

$387/month
2015 Q50 Premium AWD MSRP $45,830
- Nav Package
- All Weather Package
- Cargo Package
- Folding Rear Seat
- Illuminated Kick Plates
- Spare Tire Package
Deal included:- Payoff of three remaining lease payments
- 3 year maintenance plan
- Zero down
Out the door paying only the first month's payment of $387.Awesome deal, especially after they are paying off the 3 remaining lease payments on your previous car, now for the 3 year maintenance plan they gave you, is that just oil changes and rotation of tires? or does that include replacing the in-cabin microfilter at 15,000 miles and the engine air filter and in cabin microfilters at 30,000????? Thats a question I would like to know, one dealership near me only said oil changes were included in the maintenance.
I got a quote for the Q50 Premium with nav at $650 down and about $385 a month however I didn't get the list of options included in that car when they showed me the numbers which I don't know why they didn't show....so I don't know if I was getting the all weather package and illuminated kick plates etc like you were quoted....
