Not that it matters much with that low payment, but what is the $1099 for other?
I had the same question when I saw it. It's the $700 acquisition fee and $399 doc fee. I confirmed with another dealer in the area that they are capped at $399.

I plan to do 1 MSD tomorrow.
I think the doc fee is  capped at $75 in NY.  Does that fee include DMV charges too?

What dealer is this?  Your deal looks great.

    Hello,

First time poster. Really appreciate all the helpful comments and info. This is my first lease. I live in GA, zip code is 30022. I thought I wanted a Q50 RWD Premium with Nav, but the local dealers aren't quoting me anywhere near the prices that I've seen here. Is it the taxes In GA? I switched my car preference due to high cost to a Q50 Base RWD with moonroof, 39mos/12k.

My best deal still isn't very good compared to what I've seen others receive. Here are the details (didn't give me the sheet so numbers might be off):

Car: 2015 Q50 Base RWD with moonroof
    Lease: 39 mo / 12k
    MSRP: 39,600
    Selling Price: 34,190
    TAVT (taxes): 2,484
    Doc Fee: 599.00
    Title: 18.00
    License: 22.00
    ETR: 68.00
    Misc: 3.0
    Total: 37,384

    Residual: 58%, 23,020.69
    MF: .00025

Monthly payment: $354 (without tax), $417.34 with tax
Out the door: $532 (includes first month payment)

This just seems high to me, Thoughts? Is it worth it to do a MSD? I am supposedly getting VPP pricing. I thought my payment would be in the low 300s. Please advise.

    Thanks!

What hurts the most is you live in GA, and pay sales tax on the full value of the car.. Also, a $599 doc fee is ridiculous, but not unusual for GA/FL..

Since the money factor is already low, you can only do 2 MSDs, but it would be worth it.. It would save $12/mo..

It's not a bad lease.. you can't do anything about the tax. You could try shopping around, and see if a competitor will waive their doc fee on a VPP deal.
Thanks for your insights. Are the residual (58%) and MF (.00025) correct for a 2015 Q 50 RWD Base with 39/36 mos and 12k miles? The salesperson said that 39 months is the "sweet spot" for Infiniti leases, and I'm fine with the extra months, but I wanted to be sure because I know the longer term reduces residual value. How much lower to do you think I could find per month? Is it just not worth it to lease in Georgia?
I actually show the residual as 57% for 39/12... 58% is the 39/10 residual, I think.

    .00025 is the base MF.

On this model, the 36 month residual is just 1% higher.. It's about $15/mo. more... maybe $19/mo more with tax.

What state? Very few states cap the doc fee.. and, dealers tend to say untrue things about them, to make them seem normal and reasonable.

Correct. For NY the doc fee is capped at $75. However, this deal is being done in CT :disappointed: . My dmv is $160, which is include in the $520 drive off. Not sure what their "doc fee" includes, but I'll ask.

They said the doc fee is capped at $399 for CT and as long as they charge everyone the same amount it's OK. I spoke to one other dealership who said they would charge the same doc fee, but not sure if that's because they saw how the number or because they actually charge that amount.

Just found this link about doc fees by state. It appears while there is notl cap or rules in CT, the avg doc fee is about $357. I'll still discuss it with them. What would you guys do?

Take those averages with a grain of salt. From my experience an Infinti, Lexus, BWM dealer is going to have a higher doc fee then a Honda, Chevy or Ford dealer. Of course because it is much more expensive to do paperwork for a Q50 than an Accord. ;) In the states where there is no cap it is almost pure profit.

When I leased my Q50 here in AZ the doc fee was $500 and the DMV fees were $840.

Yeah, of course it takes way more time and effort to sign an infiniti paper than a honda paper LOL.. I kind of figured that it was profit, but considering they aren't making much for the price they're giving me, $399 isn't an absurd amount. Even less so in comparison with your $500 :open_mouth:

Most dealers aren't going to negotiate their doc fee... Better to know what it is, and then adjust your offer accordingly.. Total price including variable fees is what counts.

Traditionally, in CT, they call it a "conveyance fee".. anything to obsure what you are actually paying.

    2015 Q50 AWD Premium
    39 Month, 30,000 mile lease

700 at signing (dmv and first month), and 38 months at $395.00. what is your opinion? I'm in NJ
  • jamesbond15jamesbond15 Member Posts: 145
Just picked up a Q50 premium with Navi in Los Angeles. Here is the deal:
    MSRP is 43,145
Sales price 35145 ($8k off MSRP)
    +acq fee $700
    adj cap cost 35845
    39months, 10k miles, tier 1 credit, MF 0.00025, 56% residual
monthly payment $343 (9% tax included)
$800 drive off to cover first month, DMV, dealer doc fee, ect

Then we did 2 multiple security deposits, decreasing the MF to 0.00005, dropping the payment to $330 per month (tax included). Two MDS was $700.

I always find examples here helpful when I lease.

I did return an Infiniti lease however I only mentioned that after the deal was negotiated. The buyout on that car was more than the current sales price so it didn't add any value. No VPP or anything.

I had another dealer offer 7k off MSRP and another 7,250 off but one stepped up and offered the 8k off.

Could someone please provide the money factor and residual for a 2015 Q50 Sport RWD for 24 months / 12k miles, 36 months / 12k miles (if available), 39 months / 12k miles? And do the residuals increase by 1% for 10k miles, and decrease by 2% for 15k miles? Thank you!

2015 Q50 AWD Premium... 15k miles per year. MF and residual?

Also, what does VPP stand for?

Also, I have a 2014 Chrysler 300 lease in the household does this help me at all? IE: competitor lease cash or anything?

    .00012 MF and 54% residual for 36 months. 53% for 39 months

VPP is VIP Purchase Plan (I think). It's a supplier purchase program.

I see that now. They recently got posters that shhow "conveyance fee" and try to breakdown what it is. As kingpcgeek said, they basically described it as a glorified paper pushing fee lol.

$8,000 off MSRP is in insane amount, thats about 18.5% off the MSRP, the Q40 AWD with nav and moonroof is around $35,500, you got the premium Q50 with navi for under the price of a Q40.....whewww....

Im looking to lease the Q50 base or Q50 premium depending on the loyalty program they offer me.

I don't think Infiniti has any loyalty aside from $500 excess wear-and-tear (or excess miles) forgiveness when getting a new Infiniti. Also also waive the disposition fee.

I knew about the disposition fee when returning the car that if you decide to get a new lease they waive it, I didn't know about the $500 excess wear and tear..

just got back from infiniti in Illinois.

    MSRP:44705
    Cap cost: 37500
    mf: .00012
    residual 55%
    39k/12 $374/month

$800 out the door which includes doc, plates, and first payment.

I didn't get it yet simply because i wanted to double check everything and also Im upside down on my current car.

I asked about multiple security deposit to buy down the mf and the manager said infiniti doesn't do that. I assured him they do because multiple people have done it but he insisted. Can anyone verify if they do this in Illinois or point me in the right direction.

This is my first lease deal. thanks for all the info. He wouldn't budge past 39 when i first went in.

Sadly the 39 month deal is the best one currently. I dislike 39months as opposed to 36 because you have to pay the registration for the next year but only use the car for 3 months. However, currently the savings of 39 months over 36 months was about $500 (for me) over the lease while the registration will like be $250 so doing 39 months currently is still worthwhile.

The last post in this thread mentions a dealer in Illinois doing MSD.
    http://www.infinitiq50.org/forum/infiniti-q50-dealers-pricing/16882-q50-premium-w-navi.html

I have no idea why dealers are so against doing MSD. In your case your MF is already .00012. You would only be able to do 1 MSD, bringing your MF to .00002.

There are two reason why. First they have no idea what they are. The dealer I leased from had never heard of them and had to go the Infiniti web site to download a document on how to handle. They still didn't grasp the concept and I had to train them on exactly how it worked. Secondly it exposes the fact that they are marking up the money factor. Which once again my dealer was doing.

I have a couple of questions before I go to the dealership tomorrow.
    1) I am looking at a 2015 AWD Q50 premium with just navi, MSRP $45,600.
would 15% off that amount be a good starting point?
    2) When we are quoted the money factor and residual, are those numbers coming from IFS?

    Thanks

I suggest instead of going into the dealership you just start by e-mailing a number of dealers around you. It is a waste of time to be sitting there at the dealer. Submit an inquire on the dealer's website. Submit to like 3 dealerships at once. The internet sales guy will get back to you. Say you want to lease and see what offer he presents to you. Ask to see the MSRP and the sales price. Then counter back with an offer of your own. When I counter I typically write it out specifically, don't be vague. See one of my previous comments from a few days ago where I wrote out the whole deal. Insert your own numbers and e-mail that to them.

Michaell, thank you for your response, but a follow-up is whether there are any annual mile packages greater than 15k, since I tend to exceed that? And if so, what is the residual? Or do you know whether Infiniti allows you to purchase miles during the term of a lease contract? Thank you again for what you know.

Thank you for the great advice Jamesbond15, I will give that a try and see what I get.

If you need so many miles would a lease even make sense? You will be paying a lot for the miles. Infiniti does however forgive $500 in excess miles if you get another Infiniti. You may also want to look at Acura, they are more lenient in their forgiveness if you get another Acura.

It's a good point, but my job requirs me to drive a lot and this is a way for me to put a lot of wear on the car and turn it in before the usual factory warranty expires. I will look at the Acura. Thank you

just got back from infiniti in Illinois. MSRP:44705 Cap cost: 37500 mf: .00012 residual 55% 39k/12 $374/month $800 out the door which includes doc, plates, and first payment.
The last post in this thread mentions a dealer in Illinois doing MSD. http://www.infinitiq50.org/forum/infiniti-q50-dealers-pricing/16882-q50-premium-w-navi.html I have no idea why dealers are so against doing MSD. In your case your MF is already .00012. You would only be able to do 1 MSD, bringing your MF to .00002.
Sorry I meant they wouldn't budge at 39k at first.  They also told me infiniti doesn't do security deposits and had no idea what they were.

    The 2nd dealership

    Msrp: 44910
    Cap cost: 38673
    Payments 408.

855 out the door. They said they can't match the 37500.  Are those numbers correct?

I did negotiate the price without a trade on both deals.  Problem is, the first place only wants to give me 7500 for my trade and the 2nd place will give me 9000. They also told me a msd isnt worth it, it wpuldnt save me enough to be worthwhile i don't know what to do. I walked out of both. Needed a breather haha

The discount off MSRP really depends on the competition among the dealers. I had 2 dealers give me $7k off MSRP and one gave $8k, however I have probably like 15 dealers within like 50 miles. If you have more dealers nearby then I would suggest you just e-mail them and work on a deal via e-mail. Going to the dealership is a waste of time. See my post above about the strategy I use.

The 1 MSD will likely discount your payment by like $6-7 per month. Realistically, that is a good investment. $6 x 39 months = $234. The MSD will likely cost you about $450 (fully refundable). 234/450 = .52, so 52% "return" over the 39 months (can't beat that in any market). I think it took my dealer like 1 min to get the MSD stuff done but again if they don't want to do it then *shrug*. I don't think the MSD should break the deal in this case.

Extra miles can be purchased up front at a cost of .10-.25 per mile. This is deducted off the residual value.

Hey guys, I need your advice, as I am a bit confused as to what I just agreed to and am not sure if I got ripped off or not. I just leased a Q50a RWD (which is apparently the "base" model, which is actually what I had asked for), 39 mos 10k/yr, for $315 month(which includes taxes), and I put down only $650 (which was for the first month's payment, plates and fees), plus they payed off the last two months of my Passat lease. My concerns are that I had no idea that there was even a 2015 q50a, until I came outside, after signing the papers and I cannot find any information on MSRP, residual or MF are. I admit that I childishly jumped on this deal, after a few negotiations. Also, my lease paper work says that I have a Q50 premium, not a Q50a. Is it worth it to contact corporate about this? Or did I actually get a descent deal and they just wrote that for their own billing purposes? Sorry for the long story, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
