What are your thoughts on the deal I just signed today? Seemed too good to pass up but I'm always curious if I could have gotten more.

Without knowing the cap cost it's hard to fully judge your deal., but $345/mo for a car that stickers at $42K is not bad at all.
I'm looking for some assistance in obtaining the best lease deal possible for a 2015 Lexus IS 250 F-Sport. I contacted my local Lexus dealer on 8/25/15 and was given the following quote:
Based on some of the information in this forum I think that there are better deals to be had. Can you please offer some advice - specifically on how to reduce the down payment (I'm sure negotiating a sale price lower than the stated MSRP is part of that), and if its possible to get the monthly payment a bit closer to $400 range?
I have not yet engaged the dealer in negotiations - this quote was intended to be a starting point as I have about 1.5 months before my existing lease expires.

Yes, negotiating a low selling price will certainly help.
Base MF is .00055, so the dealer is marking that up.
And, getting the breakdown of the $2000 up front cash will help understand the deal.

Thank you for the quick reply! I will work on getting a breakdown on the $2000 up front cash, and respond back and follow up.
Is there a target sale price that you would recommend shooting for based on the $46,229 MSRP?

Looks like $43,492 is a good target price according to Edmunds. I'll follow up as soon as I get the out of pocket breakdown. Thanks again for your help!
What are the current MF 2015 IS250 RWD non-F in SoCal for 24/10 or 36/10? I thought you had posted earlier that it was 0.00055 for base MF. I got quotes from dealers and they are mentioning that the MF is 0.00075. Can you please confirm if the base MF is 0.00055 and not 0.00075 (which dealers might be padding) in SoCal? Thanks.
Update: Just got email from one dealer who says the MF are set by Lexus Financial Services and not dealers. The 0.00055 is for the ES350 and ES 300h and for IS250 it is 0.00075.
Is the information dealer is giving correct or not?

Most regions have .00055 MF for August. We recently received the West region numbers and .00075 is indeed correct for the IS250 in CA.
The email is sort of correct. LFS sets the rates, but dealers can pad them. Ironically, they are right about the IS250, but the rates for the ES are actually lower than that (in West region).
Hey everyone. I am currently looking at a 2015 IS250 AWD F-Sport with navigation and blind-spot options. I live in Missouri. Below is what the dealer is giving me. What do you think of this deal so far?
I have two cars I'm trading in, but not sure that I want to put anything down, so for the purpose of this post, assume $0 down. I am not sure how to figure the monthly payment. Is there wiggle room in the money factor? Is there wiggle room in the selling price?

Lots of wiggle room in the MF ... base this month is .00055.
You are correct to not use trade equity as down payment - if the new car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money. Have the dealer cut you a check instead.
Using all your numbers but with the base MF the payment, with tax, is $464/mo. If the selling price is reduced by the rebate amounts, the payment drops to $418/mo.

Thank you Michaell for the response. They are giving me $2000 off MSRP + $1500 in rebates. Should I try negotiating for another $1000 off the MSRP as well? Also, should I mention that I know the base MF for this month is .00055 and demand no higher? Thank you!

Yeah... that's a huge markup in the money factor, if you have top tier credit. I'd work on that. It's adding over $1400 to your total cost.

kyfdx, how should I approach them on the MF? I plan to go to Lexus on Tuesday. Should I just walk in and tell them I want a MF of .00055 because my research has shown this to be the base?
Also, since they have only given me $2000 off MSRP, is it possible to get more there as well? I have seen some users claiming they received 10% off MSRP... I'm currently only getting 4% which seems a little on the low side. Your expert opinion is greatly appreciated!

Just tell them (politely but firmly) that you won't sign a deal that doesn't use the base MF .. they know what that number is, you don't have to tell them.
We don't track selling prices, but if you don't ask, you don't get.
Hi Edmunds family! Just signed my first lease and I got a Silver (Red Interior) Lexus IS250 F-Sport (36 months/10k per year) for an awesome deal (I can share details if everyone would like). If you are located in the South Florida area and are looking to purchase/lease a Lexus I have a great dealer and even better sales guy that will genuinely take care of you (very professional and will not pressure you at all). If you would like his info, feel free to reach out to me.
Everyone take care and have a great Labor Day weekend!

What deal did you get? Details please!
Sure. As I mentioned above I got a 36 month lease, with 10k miles/year. $579 due up front (includes first payment, taxes, and license plate transfer). Monthly payments are $390 all-in.
I was quoted after tax monthly payment would be $429 with 0 down. I wonder if the asking price is still a little high.
My questions are:
1. Can I lower the MF with MSDs? He mentioned Lexus sets the MF so i could not lower them. 2. What is the current MF and residual in South FL? 3. Any thoughts on this offer?

I get $362/mo before tax with those numbers - I'd ask for the net cap cost and get them to explain the math behind that number (I suspect it's higher than the selling price).
1. Yes, 9 MSDs each of which would lower the MF by .00008. Since the MF is so low to begin with, only 7 MSDs would be allowed 2. I agree with the MF and residual 3. I don't track selling prices, so not sure if you can do better on the discount from sticker.
Does anyone know the money factor for the IS250 for Missouri now that the Golden Opportunity event is over? My salesman told me today it went from .00055 to .00075. Im trying to see if he's shooting me straight here.

.00075 MF is correct
Any heads up when this ends? November? Not sure if I should lease a 250 now, or wait until the December to Remember event.

The current program expires on September 30th. I doubt there will be any lease deals left on the 2015 models in December.

I'm looking for some assistance in obtaining the best lease deal possible for a 2015 Lexus IS 250 F-Sport. I contacted my local Lexus dealer on 8/25/15 and was given the following quote:
MSRP - $46,229 (all options/packages included)
Mileage - 10,000/year
Term - 36 months
Money Factor - .00068
Residual - $30,048.85
Down payment - $2000 (breakdown not provided)
Monthly payment - $447
Based on some of the information in this forum I think that there are better deals to be had. Can you please offer some advice - specifically on how to reduce the down payment (I'm sure negotiating a sale price lower than the stated MSRP is part of that), and if its possible to get the monthly payment a bit closer to $400 range?
I have not yet engaged the dealer in negotiations - this quote was intended to be a starting point as I have about 1.5 months before my existing lease expires.
Thank you in advance!

And, getting the breakdown of the $2000 up front cash will help understand the deal.

The email is sort of correct. LFS sets the rates, but dealers can pad them. Ironically, they are right about the IS250, but the rates for the ES are actually lower than that (in West region).

Do you mention this to the salesman after you're negotiating or during the finance stage?
It's possible the salesman won't even be familiar with this program; the finance person would be your best bet.

how many MSD's will I be able to apply?
I believe LFS gives .00008 reduction with a maximum of 9 MSDs. That would reduce the MF to .00003, unless LFS has a floor. (.00005, possibly?).
