Have no idea how MSD work. I know the limit is 7 and each drops MF by .0007. How much is it? And do I get it back only if I return the car to BMW? If I trade it to another dealer I assume I never get it back?

Each security deposit is the monthly payment rounded up to the next $25.
Actually, not sure what happens if you trade out early.
Hello. I'm trying to get accurate pricing on a 2016 BMW 340i xDrive executive demo. My local dealer has one on the lot that had an MSRP of $58475. They are offering it at $49000 (pre-negotiation). I can't get them to give me the money factor or residual so if you could help, that would be much appreciated. They are telling me the monthly payment with 7% Indiana tax and zero down would be $735/month. That seems really high unless they have seriously inflated the money factor or the residual is much lower than I think it is. Thanks in advance for the information.

If the selling price is the cap cost, I get $534/mo with tax included.
Confirm the cap cost with the dealer - if higher than $49K, find out what they've added..

Thank you. I forgot to mention it before, but is that residual for 36/12 or something else? I'd like to stick with 36/12. Also, do I make any adjustment for the 7150 miles already on the vehicle?

60% is for 36/15; 62% for 36/12
.25 is deducted from the calculated residual for each mile - $1787.50, in your case. That will add about $50/mo to the lease payment.
I am curious about the comment above: ".25 is deducted from the calculated residual for each mile - $1787.50, in your case. That will add about $50/mo to the lease payment."
What would motivate a buyer to pay $50 more per month for a Demo with miles then for a new vehicle with no miles?

Because you should be able to negotiate a bigger discount from sticker for the demo unit, as compared to one with low or no miles.

The assumption is that the demo will sell for much less than a new unit. So, in effect, the payment will be lower.
Just got a 328i GT but feel I got screwed a bit. MSRP 50365 Cap cost is 39865 + 925 (reg + first month payment) + 1275 (lease return waiver protection) Nothing else down 466 per month with tax. The lease return waiver is cost for three years, without it it was 425 per month with tax.

That's a really cheap monthly payment for that MSRP. But, the $925 is the acquisition fee. I would have stuck with the $425/mo, and kept the rest of that money in my pocket.

Does the MF for a demo stay the same as a new one?

Here's my deal for a 2016 BMW 340xi Msrp: $54,745 Invoice: $50,890 (edmunds) Cap cost selling price $45,945 (8,800 off dealer stated msrp ($51070) Down payment:0 Mf: .00134 62% Residual 36/12 Payment:$480 a month Taxes (Nassau County,NY) rolled into payment. Included Free once a week hand car washes
Due at signing: $480 first mo, $925 acq fee and DMV fees.
How is this deal? Please confirm math. Can I do better and how? (Without msd) How do I add the incentives or are they already figured into the selling price? Dealer said he took $5125 in incentives and subtracted from stated dealer invoice. ($51070) Can I use an incentive for a cap cost reduction (down payment)? I initially offered a selling price of $46000 then minus the incentives ($3,500) and the dealer said I was double dipping. If the dealer is using incentiv s to come up with a selling price, shouldn't the incentives be listed on the contract? I wanted to put zero down out of pocket toward cap cost but be in the low to mid 400's. I used the lease calculator from edmunds. Thank you.

The incentives are dealer incentives. (except for $1500). Only the $1500 would be listed on the contract, I think. I get $440/mo.+tax. Tax is collected upfront in NY. If we had the actual CAP cost number, we'd know exactly what you are paying for. Lower the payment? Negotiate a lower price (though, that seems doubtful). If you want to put less upfront, roll in the $925 acq.fee (payment will go up about $30/mo)
Msrp is $54,745. 62% residual of $33,941.9 12yr/36mo. Invoice is 50890 on edmunds but dealer said invoice was 51070. Not really a huge difference anyway.
I've been told there's a residual adjustment because it's a loaner. Is it customary to adjust the residual on demos? The lease will be based on the adjusted value.

Yes.. when you turn the car in, it will have 4000 more miles than a car that starts with zero. So, it would necessarily be worth less, at lease end. The adjustment is $0.25/mile,
Hopefully, you'll negotiate a price on a loaner that more than makes up for that difference.

The correct residual for that model for 36/12 is 62%
Is it a demo or service loaner?

They're offering 17% off MSRP + $1000 loyalty credit. This is my first time buying a loaner, not sure if that's a good deal, considering all the incentives on new vehicles. I read 25-30 is target % off, but can't believe everything on the internet Thanks for the reply!!
What sort of discount should I be looking for (percentage wise) on a 3 series executive demo lease? Pacific BMW has their credits already posted but I wasn't sure if I would be able to negotiate down any lower than what their "Market Price" is.
I'm new to this "executive demo lease" thing. How do MF and residuals factor into these compared to a "new lease"?

The demo uses the new car rates, but reduces the residual by $0.25/mi. for current mileage.
Maximum price on a demo should be MSRP minus 7% Minus any incentives Minus $0.25 per mile.

Is there any chance you would have the 24/10K residual/MF on a 335i GT xdrive? Do you happen to have 12/10K numbers as well. I know it usually does not make sense to do a one year lease, but with enough of a discount the numbers might be reasonable. Thank you!
