Hello Guys, I got a 2-part question on a 2016 428i coupe; MSRP $48,570: 1. Local dealer "demo" with about 8k miles; would this car qualify for new car lease rates (they say yes)? 2. What would be the MF/Res for 36/10?
They are offering a nice discount of $8600 but the numbers they gave me on a lease don't add up on my lease calculator - $405 + tax after 2,200 down pmt. + fees.

What is the selling price? What does the $2200 cover?

You have to reduce the residual to account for the current mileage. 8000 miles reduces the residual by $2000.

What is the selling price? What does the $2200 cover?
Thanks Michaell. The selling price is $39,970 ($8600 discount), the $2200 is cap reduction + fees/1st pmt. total in is $4,000. Based on these rates and the reduction of 2,000 for mileage (per kyfdx above) I come up with $371 + tax payment, sounds right?
Through employee discount I m getting $389 lease on 430i with msrp of 44795 and 3k downpayment with 925 dest charges. Company site also says $1500 for corp fleet incentive is applied. Does that sound good. Not sure what the MF and RV rates are. Tho it does say buyback amount after 36/10k is 27325 which I think comes down to about 60%.
Advice? I am planning on negotiating the selling price down by about 6-7%. This is 2017 model
Hi, What is the MF and Residual for 15k/36 month? Also, what is a $1500 option ? lastly, what is a fleet discount that people are talking about and how do you get it? Thank you

How much is the cap reduction from the $2200?
I get $381/mo plus tax with those numbers, before the $2000 for the mileage (another $56/mo) - so, $437/mo plus tax total. Before the cap reduction.

$1500 is an incentive used to reduce the cap cost - use the knowledge to make your best deal.
Thank you. What is the max MSDs (I heard 7) with BMW and how much does each lower? I heard .0001 so if the current is .00134, I should expect to hit .00064?

Thank you for your answers so far. Last few questions:
1. how much should I be looking at for Lease Acquisition Fee - I hear some dealers try to sneak extra profit in here. 2. Title and Registration for CA 3. Doc Fee - how much typically? - I hear same for this as for #1.

Best,
1) BMWFS no longer allows markups to the acq.fee. However, the fee is now $925 2) 1.1% of MSRP is a good rule of thumb. 3) Restricted by the state to $80 max (which everyone charges in CA)

On #2, it's 1.1% of the MSRP even if the selling prices is discounted from the MSRP?

It's just a rule of thumb... .it's not exact. Check with your local DMV.
Leasing for the first time so a bit confused. On bmw they advertise for eg for 428 .. as 389/month with 4750 down. But on the dealer site, I see mostly inventory priced at around 53k. I got a quote for one of them and has a 61% and 0.00144 as the MF. Even if they provide me with 0.00134 as quoted here and I bring down the price by another couple of thousands. It will still not come close to 389. For eg For 45k final price (with 6-7% off sticker after negotiation(ie 53270) - 1500 incentive - 3000 downpayment) + 61% RV and 0.00134MF the monthly payment is about 474. No where close to $389
Is there something I am missing here, or is that how it normally works? ie there;s no real way to get he advertized lease price unless they have exact same base model at the exact same price quoted in fine print?
PS: MSRP: 53270, asking price 49285 for 2016 428xdrive GC. Also they have a doc fee of $250 + $195 prepaid finance charges.. Not sure what these are.

The advertised 2016 428i coupe has an MSRP of $42,845. If you are looking at one with an MSRP of $53,270, then that's 24% higher. So, no, you won't be anywhere close to $389/mo.

Makes sense. So typically what should I start negotiating with. As per the previous discussions I see somewhere around 7 % sounds good for new BMW. Given its a year older 2016..does 10 or so sound reasonable?

Anything above 7% on a BMW is a good price. Can't really tell you how much above 7% is possible.

They have one of the cars listed abotu $20 below 7% off the MSRP. MSRP is 53270 and sale price 49285. I am assuming this means, 49285 is the starting price and another 3-4% from there is a good bet. Thoughts?

I've never shopped in that price range so I'm not sure how low the dealer will go. Can't hurt to ask for that extra few percent off and see how the dealer responds. End of the year is rapidly approaching so if the dealer needs that one extra sale to meet a volume bonus, you could benefit from that.

With Corporate fleet program there's extra $1500 and 0.0002 MF reduction right? and any more price reductions with corp fleet? I thought I read the price is reduced 4%.
so far I see 2500 (bmw incentive) 1500 ( corp) 0.0007@7 MSDs + any negotiated price reduction.

I only see the $1500 option allowance on the 2016 4-series.
No information on other incentives, or whether they will stack.
I think the $1500 corporate discount and .00020 reduction in the base MF is correct, based on what others have posted.
Thanks for the numbers. What is an option allowance if I may ask?! How do I apply it?
here is the car I'm looking at
MSRP $53,845 Sale Price $44,495
Looking to do 36/10. If my calculations are correct it's about 480 with 7 MSD. Does this sound about right? Would I be able to include the option allowance or however that works?

I got a 2-part question on a 2016 428i coupe; MSRP $48,570:
+ fees.
Thanks!
2. .00134 and 61%. $1500 option allowance
What is the selling price? What does the $2200 cover?

Best,
2) 1.1% of MSRP is a good rule of thumb.
3) Restricted by the state to $80 max (which everyone charges in CA)

MSRP: 42,988
Cap cost: $39,738
MF .00174
RV: $24,277
Final down payment and monthly payment for a 12k miles a year/36 months.
$3,500 down, $504\month out the door.
Feels like it's marked up quite a lot?
Thanks!
However, the base MF for new car leases is .00134 this month; not sure if that's true for CPO leases, but if it is, your MF has been marked up.

For 45k final price (with 6-7% off sticker after negotiation(ie 53270) - 1500 incentive - 3000 downpayment) + 61% RV and 0.00134MF the monthly payment is about 474.
If you are looking at one with an MSRP of $53,270, then that's 24% higher.
So, no, you won't be anywhere close to $389/mo.

They have one of the cars listed abotu $20 below 7% off the MSRP. MSRP is 53270 and sale price 49285. I am assuming this means, 49285 is the starting price and another 3-4% from there is a good bet. Thoughts?

With Corporate fleet program there's extra $1500 and 0.0002 MF reduction right? and any more price reductions with corp fleet? I thought I read the price is reduced 4%.
so far I see
2500 (bmw incentive)
1500 ( corp)
0.0007@7 MSDs
+ any negotiated price reduction.
No information on other incentives, or whether they will stack.
I think the $1500 corporate discount and .00020 reduction in the base MF is correct, based on what others have posted.

here is the car I'm looking at
MSRP $53,845
Sale Price $44,495
Looking to do 36/10. If my calculations are correct it's about 480 with 7 MSD. Does this sound about right? Would I be able to include the option allowance or however that works?
