Bug has low miles because nobody wanted to be seen in it
Hahah; that's for sure! For those miles,, it definitely does not seem well cared for, either. Price seems reasonable, and it has the right drivetrain. So, it's not all bad. All that crud on the outside is probably vinyl that could be removed.

Subaru is so normalized now that they are even in local rental fleets.
Yeah, my wife has an Outback and I really don't get nods from the Subie people anymore.
I just rented from Avis in Raleigh on Monday. Didn't see any Subies, but they gave me a Jeep Copmpass Trailhawk. It was pretty meh, but was surprised that it was the Trailhark model

It looks like a quality build. You couldn't repeat it for that price, but sadly, few people under 60-70 really want a 54 Meurcury sedan, especially for 16K.
I always liked that more orange-ish colored RX-7. Usually not a huge fan of that hue, but it seemed to work on the Mazda. Michaell - caught part of that show. Gotta wonder why someone would do the changes that owner had done to it?

It's California. People do stuff to their cars that defies logic.
I loved driving my sisters car. She cried the day she sold it.
I like that too. It appears to be in fine condition for a 25 y-o vehicle, though the mileage scares me a bit at that price. But I cannot tell you the last time I saw one of those around here.
I remember looking into it a few years ago, and it was real easy (and not horribly expensive) to get a replacement, upgraded engine for the RX-7. And conveniently, they are nice and small!
Man that 91 Vic is clean. Very similar to my 89 MGM except I had grey velour.
It is clean but those don't look like the factory Ford turbine wheels to me, they look more like Lincoln wheels but I can't tell for sure from the pics.

Sure, but then its not original anymore, and, if going through the trouble and expense to restomod it, I'm putting in way more than 135hp.

Who worries about all original on one of these? I seem to recall that you would get more power. Not sure if just from upgrades, or sticking in a bigger/newer version. But you have to want to put the effort in I guess. Makes sense if you find a perfect car with a bad motor for cheap. And like a project! Or more likely have the car you love and the motor goes.

They are correct. 90/91 turbines are all silver. The 89 and prior have dark grey painted inner fins.
Also, 91 Crown Vic’s have one year only clear front turn signal lenses.

I guess my point is, if not original, then why bother with one at all? Not particularly attractive, comfortable, nor useful. If I was thinking of doing a motor swap in an RX, I’d sooner find an RX8 donor. Not that that even makes much sense, but seems like a better option to me at least.

Ebay motors is my go-to to get rough estimates of what a car is worth. The 'completed items' listings show the final bid price for those that sold, and the maximum bid price for those that didn't. A good measure of what the market thinks, as opposed to what the seller wants.
The Fuego was pretty fancy with leather seats. Notice the Renault logo as a pattern on the front seat. Looks to be in nice shape. Both the car and the fact that it has amazingly driven 129k has to be rare!

The Siata is interesting in that one came up on the Mystery Car Pics board just last week. Also very rare but likely much more troublesome.
