First I looked at Fintail's links, then looked at Oscar's.
It went from 'Bring A Trailer' to 'Living A Nightmare'. :D
Just kidding Oscar, I forgot you like to look for resto projects.

True but I wouldn't touch any of those . They are either way overpriced or too far gone. In some cases both.

Nice color combo, but it would need to be mechanically sound and roadworthy to fetch near that money. Body/paint and interior will consume ~15K I bet, and you'll have a hard time getting that back.

That Duster was just like mine. Year and color. But I had black bucket seats, and a 3 speed on the floor. so, no Prindle.

    That’s a Dart Demon, I think.

IMCDB ID's the yellow Mama's Family car as a Dart Sport.

Had the old dear out on this sunny day. Started right up and ran fine, didn't notice any blowby, and the turn signals worked more than half the time, perplexing. I did seem to notice more exhaust smell than normal, might have just been downwind of myself - this is not a low emissions vehicle, I wonder how many Tesla I canceled out today B)

That would have been a Dart Sport. The Demon name was short lived

It was a hard to see video on my little screen. I didn’t notice the different grill. But still looked the same! Yellow too.

Yep, Dart Sport. The Demon lasted from '71-'72, then religous protesters got Dodge to rename it the Sport for '73.
  • explorerx4explorerx4 Member Posts: 20,723
We had a Demon for a short while, when my dad stuck his toe in the used car arena.
Petty blue, 340, auto on the column.
Took it out a couple of times, although it never had a plate on it.
He must have noticed after the first time I took it out because he loosened the lug nuts on one wheel, so I brought it right back. :o

seems pricey for a shell with no drivetrain. If you need to source a Subaru engine anyway, at this point might as well just get one of the kit cars that are designed to work with modern mechanicals.

I am sure it could be fun when it is done. Just a complete financial bloodbath.

    1988 ad got pulled.

never buy an expensive volvo new. Especially a sedan. Certainly if you aren't planning to keep it for 10+ years.

I kinda like that Mustang. Honest car. Right number of pedals.

A buddy of mine had one of those early '90s Cadillac Fleetwood sedans. His was metallic blue, so imagine that same interior in a medium blue velvet. It was actually a really nice car and he loved it. By then the 4.9 V-8 had been worked over enough to actually move it along decently and it drove well without any problems for him. He sold it back to the dealer he bought it from as part of a downsizing of his fleet, then found he missed it so he went out and bought another one a short time later from a funeral home that used it as one of their ceremonial cars. That was black on black IIRC. He never liked that one as much and got rid of it not long after.

what would a 454 dually pull, maybe 6 MPG overall? Possibly 10 highway if you keep in the slow lane?

I took a 15' U Haul (Ford E series cab, with grandmas attic) from Philly to Albany, and that got just about 10 on the trip. Which did not seem so bad, for what it was. But not cheap!

I liked the Beetle and the Triumph but a little (imho alot) pricey.
I have a Ford E350 with the 460ci engine and it gets @ 12 mpg in normal driving . I have no idea what it would do on a road trip.
    BTW where is shifty?

Wow; love the Mitsu GT. Definitely one of few timeless designs from that decade. Even if the prices don't compare, these are waaaaay more visually appealing than the Supra.

I like the triple white Mustang convertible, but I would want to get rid of the white wheels. And why could Ford not have made the map pouches in the door panels white instead of black?

That bullet bird is really nice with great colors. I suspect they aren't all that satisfying to drive, though (I never have). Big, heavy cars.

I'm impressed that the Econoline has a matching (or nearly so) quilted blue velvet engine cover cozy. I assume that wasn't factory?

I like the Mitsu 3000VR4 they are cheap when compared to their competition (RX7, 300ZX TT, Supra...etc) but very heavy and complex.

Isn't that green Acura a Vigor?

The black map pouches on the door are probably replacements.
If like mine, they sag and the one in the picture has no sag.

When I saw that Mitsubishi, I thought of 'Wheeler Dealers'.
Can't remember some obscure part they had to replace.

The Vigor was never as Legendary as the Legend though. I'd buy a low mileage Legend.
