Ah. That $3K 'hides' about $84/mo on the payment. Better to keep that money in your pocket and have the higher payment. If the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.

Hello. I'm new at leasing. I don't understand the rv, mf or what they mean.
I'm trying to lease a 2017 mdx that the sticker number on the window is $48000. I know that that number can be negotiated down some.
I need help knowing how much I can bring that number down and how much my monthly payment should be. 
I don't want to put any cash down (I'm ok with first month)
I need 15000 miles on a 3 year lease.

You really shouldn't lease a vehicle without learning everything about leasing. It's a big financial contract, that shouldn't be entered into lightly.

If I add the $595 acquisition fee, I get $520/mo, as well.

If they are buying your current lease, then the payments won't matter, only the payoff. I would ask them if they are giving you any equity, or adding negative equity to the lease. With almost $7K off, I'd guess there is positive equity in your trade.

Leaving the trade out of it, it looks like a very good deal. Can you get by with 7500 miles per year?

The extra $500-800 over the lease was worth it to me to get the look!

The payment number is exact for that CAP cost.

Ignore the "estimated fees", as that isn't part of the calculation.

That screenshot doesn't give you the selling price or a breakout of all the fees. It's just "gross cap". You need a breakdown of the Gross CAP, so you know what you are paying for.

I also wonder about the $699 fee down below. Does Minnesota charge $699 for registration? Maybe, but that looks like a big dealer fee to me.

No mention of the $595 acquisition fee, either.

No. The dealer had to powder coat them because nobody has them. (according to my 5 closest dealers)
They were willing to do it for less than the cost would have been, had the option been on the car.

Check Truecar.com - you should be able to do better on the selling price. For the same model I was down to 45k ... even if you don't get loyalty incentives, truecar will show 47k range. 
Should get you many more miles or less payment!

Selling Price: $45,908.10
Term: 36 months
Miles: 12k
Money Factor: 0.00059
Residual: 56%
Taxes: $1,455.32

Monthly Payment: $549 (taxes and bank fee rolled into payment)
Out-of-pocket: Approx. $1,000 (1st months payment + DMV + Fees)

Side note: I'm trading in a 2015 Honda Pilot 4 months early. Dealership is going to pay off lease and give me $1,000 in equity.

What do you guys think?

2017 MDX Tech FWD

MSRP is $49,435. The selling price is $44,435. Assuming 740+ established credit, the MF is 0.00059. For 12k, the residual is 56%=$27683.60.

With 1st payment at signing, your payment is $562.61 yeilding a Cap Cost of $45,787.08.

Our admin fee is $649, DMV charges $89 for new tag/title work, and Acura charges $595 acquisition fee. These fees are rolled into the cap cost.

I believe that covers everything for the 12k.

15k changes payment to $590.28 with $591 at signing. Same cap cost of course. Residual is 54% = $26694.90

Sales tax is included in the monthly payments (paid monthly). Sales tax is 3%.

You mentioned that there is $2,000 in total incentives. It doesnt look like that was factored into the sales price of $44,435 does it? Are we sure there is that incentive available? Also, do you think I could do better than 10.1% off the MSRP?

The incentives are Acura-to-dealer incentives, so they've included them in the offer, I'm sure.
The calculations are correct.

Factoring out the incentives, you are getting $3000 off MSRP, but also paying a $649 admin fee.
We don't follow pricing, so I can't tell you if you can do better, but I'd certainly try.
