Hi, I'm new to this forum and looking at the Ford Explorer Platinum. Do you have the MF, Residual and incentives for 36/15 lease in NJ. Any dealerships that honors MSD in NJ?

We don't have the NY region numbers.

Closest we have is PA:
0.25% APR and 51% residual for 36/12
1.00% APR and 59% residual for 24/12
Add 1% to residual for 10K/yr

Can you please look at the above deal? This is for an XLT in NY (8.125% tax). Is it me or does it look like they are just not applying the $5,250 in rebates to the deal? I feel like this payment should be around $450/month...

The taxes also seem way off to me as well. Maybe it's because I am in NY and using a NJ dealer?

NY and NJ calculate taxes the same way - tax the sum of the monthly payments.

I can't reconcile their adjusted cap cost, however - I'm a few hundred short.

But, if I use their numbers, as is, I'm just a dollar or two off the payment quote.

Some of the incentives are being used to cover the up front taxes and fees, saving you from paying them out of pocket.

How much are they asking for at signing?

Dealer is giving me 52% RV w/$3000 rebate on 36/10.5K.  How does the $4750 lease cash break down?

Ford incentives are regional; the numbers I shared are for Pittsburgh / NE Ohio. Could very well be different for Cincinnati, but we don't have that information.

Confirm with several dealers on the lease cash amount.

Residual is fixed by Ford; dealer cannot alter them.

Using your MSRP and "sale price", I get $365/mo plus tax.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, and how they got to that number from the sale price

MF is marked up; politely tell them that you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF.

Using the base MF, I get $392/mo plus tax using your prices.

If you are in Texas, the taxes should be a lot higher than that. Looks like they have some sort of Sales Tax Credit for this month? But, title fees of $987.25? I'd want to know what's in that number (maybe an acquisition fee?).

I don't know if $2000 off MSRP is good or not, but the rest of the deal looks solid.

What state is this? Ford numbers are regional.

So, dealer says they are charging 3.25% (and saying that ford gives this #) financing plus they are figuring tax by multiplying the entire cap price by rate (5%) and dividing into payments....is that right?

MF seems marked up. Check with other dealers; it only takes one to meet your numbers.

I was under the impression that WI taxes the monthly payment.

The numbers are all good. Looks like a good deal.
I wouldn't want to put $3000 upfront on a lease. It does lower the payment, but only because you are prepaying part of it, upfront.

I'd rather have just $1000 upfront and $429/mo.

What is the absolute MINIMUM drive off I can negotiate- Doc Fee, Acq Fee, License & Registration Calif? (don't like to put money down on leases)
As of 10/4 are there any new lease cash incentives or is it still $3,000? In my Leasehacker Calculator does that $ go under Untaxed Incentives or Post Sale Rebates? Not sure the Difference.

0.50% APR and 51% residual for 36/12.
$3500 lease cash

Most likely, the lease cash is post sale rebate (but, check with the dealer)
Standard residuals are for 15K/yr. You have to add 2% for 12K/yr, but maybe they subtracted 2% by mistake.

You can pay for whatever you want upfront, or roll it into the CAP cost, your choice.
But, non-taxable fees should be paid upfront. If you roll them in, they become taxable within the payment.

Dealer cannot modify the RV; it is set by the bank.
