What is the latest lease info and incentives for 36/10K or 12K 2017? Any loyalty or other incentives for loaners?

    .00152 and 61% / 60%
    $2000 lease credit

Loaners will have lower residuals, but should have much, much bigger discounts to more than make up for that.

Yes...even with the marked up money factor, it seems high.
How much is due at signing on these deals?
    What state/tax rate?

Ask for the adjusted CAP cost, and that should clear up a lot.

That is a massive discount, but the dealer is making some of that up by maxing out the MF (base is .00152).

Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is, and how they got there from the "Pure Price"

I get $333/mo before tax for 36/12, using those prices.

The information we have does not have any lease data for the 2017 X1. But, we don't have all the docs we normally get for BMW. I could be wrong.

Hi, I could use some help as I am not getting to the same payment as I am being quoted based on the inputs. This is a retired service loaner with 4,880 miles, but the offer is showing the vehicle as new. Here is the offer:

    2017 X1
    MSRP: 38,145
    Rebate as cap reduction: 3,000
    Sale price: 34,669
10k/36m with only first month due at signing for $453.91/mo

I subsequently received the MF and residual: .00196 and 61%

The monthly seems a lot higher than I am calculating and the MF seems a bit high. Thanks in advance!
  • ed28961ed28961 Member Posts: 2
Okay I was able to get some more info from the dealer:

    Doc fee: 599
    Acquisition fee: 925
    so totals are

    MSRP: 38,145
    Sale Price: 34,669
    Adj cap cost: 33,429.70
    MF: .00196
    Residual: 61%
Residual value after mileage adj: 22,173.45

I was planning to put about 3k down but this doesn't look any better than a 2018 lease at this point. Any suggestions on making this worth it? Sales price vs MF?

    Thanks

I get $423/mo.+tax, so $454/mo. looks pretty close.
Money factor is marked up from .00156 base.
Use 58.1% as residual, to account for mileage
That's only about 9% off MSRP, which isn't enough for a loaner with nearly 5000 miles.
Shoot for 15% off, and the base money factor.
$2000 more off and the base money factor drops the payment by $80/mo.+

You want to be under $400/mo, with just first payment due at signing.

This forum's been very informational. Thanks to all the previous posters.

I had a 2017 X1 xDrive28i I've leased 6 months ago from a dealer in Utah and last week someone ran a red light and totaled it. Since the other party is 100% at fault, I'm guessing I won't have to bear any expenses in the settlement. My auto insurance company is still working on the settlement but in the meantime, I thought I'll start shopping for a new 2018 X1.

Has anyone in this forum been in this situation before? Is there any advice on how I should handle things following this accident? What fees/expenses beyond the market value and rental charges can they cover? E.g., will they include the disposition fee in the settlement and would it be waived for my new lease? I was unwise to put a down payment of $3000 for this lease. So, I've learned that lesson the hard way.

I'm also looking for the MF for Utah for March 2018. Shopped around for a few X1s, with MSRP ranging from 40k to 45k. With zero down, any estimate on what kind of a deal I should be able to get away with. I've read < 1% of MSRP in monthly+tax is a good deal. But does that apply to 0 down leases too? I'm still waiting for a few quotes from the dealers. Will post here to get your feedback when I have the numbers.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Your questions about your current lease might best be directed to your insurance company or BMWFS. You should certainly insist on the insurance company making you whole, especially since the other party was at fault.

@kyfdx Can you please let me know your take on this lease deal? It's for a 2017 X1 retired loaner with 4,375 miles on it.

    MSRP: $48,625
    Discount: $4,748
    Rebate: $3,000
    Acq Fee: $925
    Doc Fee: $175.94
    Title/Filing: $221
    Capitalized Taxes: $1,597
    Payment: $534/m
    Due at Signing: $755.89
    Residual Value: $28,693

I think their discount (not rebate) is very light. What do you think is a reasonably monthly payment to shoot for?

    Thanks in advance!

.00156 MF and 61% residual, less $1094 for existing mileage.
I do get about $530/mo with those numbers, so the calculations look good.

I agree with your assessment of the price.
I'd look for 15% off, which would be around $7300 discount vs. the $4748 they've offered.

$2500 more off would drop the payment to around $460/mo. (maybe a little less, as tax amount would also go down). That would be a pretty good payment with just first payment and title/filing upfront.

Can you please let me know your take on this lease deal? It's for a 2017 X1 sDrive 28i (FWD) loaner car with 4,800 miles on it. 36 month 10K miles/year lease in New Jersey.

    MSRP: $48,625
    Payment: $350/m
Due at Signing: $1500 (incl. all taxes and fees)

I currently don’t have the RV/MF info. Does this seem like something worth pursuing?

also, any thoughts on warranty related concerns or factors that need to be considered or factored in to the overall cost down the road? I am told that the BMW warranty and maintenance is convered for 3 year / 36K miles but since this is a loaner with 4800 miles already on it that cuts it close to cover the entireity life of my lease if I hold on to it for the full 36 month 10K miles/year

     Thank you.

    That's a super cheap payment.

Can't tell you how the service intervals will go, but the included maintenance is pretty basic under the new 3/36 plan. You may be on the hook for an oil change on the last service ($150).

The warranty is 4yr/50K miles, so no issues with that.
